The Zhongwei Shadu Hotel is 4 star property located on a roundabout next to the highway linking Zhongwei with the Shapotou river scenic area. It's about 8 kilometres to town or about 20 yuan by taxi. The Shapotou river area is 11 kilometres away while the Shapotou desert area is about 16 kilometres away. The immediate area of the hotel once filled with shops and restaurants has now mainly closed down and is pretty much abandoned. The hotel itself offers fairly premium rooms with good beds, crisp linens, fresh towels and an excellent bathroom that holds a hot shower with good water pressure. A special note of appreciation to the very friendly and hard working housekeeping who really stand out at this property. The receptionists are not overly friendly but they are professional and are really trying to fulfil the guest's requests as expected from a property of this level. The female manager on duty when we checked in was avoiding eye contact and flatly refused to speak to me directly when I addressed her with an issue. One of the receptionists, the one who showed us our room, (unfortunately we don't know her name), was outstanding in her very friendly attitude. She was very mindful of problem solving. She should be recommended as the hotel's most outstanding employee especially when it comes to dealing with foreign guests. If the location out of town is acceptable for you, the Zhongwei Shadu Hotel is recommended as a decent four star hotel. Probably this hotel is most convenient for guests who arrive with their own car. Recommend ☀️☀️☀️

We stayed in the Star View Suite, which accommodated 5 people. The room was clean and tidy, and very unique. The room service was attentive, helped with the luggage, greeted us proactively, and responded to WeChat very quickly. There were fruits, milk, eggs, coffee, mineral water, and eight-treasure tea in the room. If time permits, you can stay a few more days.

The service of this hotel is really great! From the moment I checked in, the enthusiasm of the staff Xiao Yao made me feel the warmth of home. The check-in service with tea and hot towels is very thoughtful. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, and the facilities are complete. The overall layout is very good, whether in the public area or in the house. Bottled water can be found everywhere in the hotel instead of two bottles in each house. The hotel is in a prime location and convenient for travel. It is not far from the airport high-speed rail station. There is a business district around. There is a large parking lot at the door. Parking is also free. Special mention should be made of the hotel's breakfast, which is self-service. Rich in variety and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and will choose to stay here next time!

We traveled in late April and upgraded to a parent-child room for free. The slide room was great and the kids loved it. There was a minibar, instant noodles and drinks, fruits, nuts, and a lot of other things in the room. The breakfast was good and the ingredients were of high quality.

A very artistic homestay with a very tasteful decoration style. Every decoration is just right, and even the breakfast is so exquisite. There were only two breakfasts originally, but we brought children with us, so the boss made a special breakfast for children, which was so thoughtful! There is also a beautiful souvenir. Although it was opened in 2018, the whole homestay does not seem to be old, and it is still as new. It is a great experience. I recommend it to friends!

It is easy to find according to the guidance given by the landlord. It is very convenient to eat around to the scenic spot. The facilities of the room are exactly the same as the pictures. Even the real thing is very warm. The room is cleaned spotlessly, the bedding is soft and comfortable. Sleeping comfortably is like being at home. The landlord is super good. I patiently answered my questions from the beginning of the reservation. I sent a lot of detailed guides and guidelines in advance. I was responsive during the stay. I responded to the message very quickly. I especially liked this kind of small courtyard. I sat there drinking tea and chatting at night. I felt that the fatigue of the journey was cured.
