We had an amazing experience during our 3 nights/4 days stay at this hotel.
We booked the hotel online after going through reviews on trip.com and were not disappointed. The staff were in touch on WeChat throughout and even upgraded our room.
Despite the language barrier, the staff, especially Xiaohua, Jessica and Chenney were very helpful, going out of their way to help us plan our visits to the National park and other attractions. They helped us book tickets and explained the routes very patiently. We were extremely satisfied with their service, attentiveness and helpfulness. They also helped us order in food after a long & exhausting day of hiking.
Breakfast was simple yet delicious. The hotel arranged free pick up and drop to the East Gate of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
On my request, they arranged a small surprise for my husband’s birthday.
100% recommend this hotel.

View of Xiang River was absolutely spectacular (see attached photo). Price performance was off the charts. There was one thing that I didn't get about this hotel.
If there is a law in China against smoking in air conditioned areas, then why was there an ashtray in the lift lobby?

I have always been the first choice to stay at the Orange Hotel when traveling abroad. I was very satisfied with this trip to Changsha. The hotel is close to the subway station, about 5 minutes walk. The room looks towards the Xiangjiang River, very open and comfortable. In the evening, you can take a stroll along the riverside and enjoy the night view. In addition breakfast food is rich and tastes good.
As soon as we arrived, the front desk lady greeted us warmly. Taxi is really hard to find near the main ancient town so we were asked to get one for the next morning check out. Otherwise it would be a troublesome. There were so many staircases to the hotel so be prepared with carrying your luggages. The hotel is right in the centre of the ancient town. It's very convenient to walk around the ancient town and then coming back to your hotel which is right in the corner. Love it so much. Highly recommended this hotel.
The first feeling is that the service is too kind, and you will tell you how to get to the hotel in advance. The fixed point is also equipped with a pick-up service. The housekeeper helped to take the luggage and get off the bus. The hotel environment is very comfortable by the river. The downstream stay is also very quiet. The hotel decoration is also very careful. I recommended a friend to the store that must stay in the ancient city of Phoenix!

We had the most wonderful experience during our stay, thanks to the incredible help and kindness of Ivy, who works at the reception. She is the only Chinese person we met on our trip who speaks perfect English, and we honestly could not have managed without her. Ivy went above and beyond to help us organize our trip in China — from planning the perfect itinerary for both Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain, to patiently answering every question with warmth and care. Her support was absolutely priceless.
When we returned to the hotel soaked and exhausted before our flight, the hotel manager also stepped in to help us dry off and pull ourselves together. They even arranged the best possible vehicle to take us to the airport, completely free of charge.
We are beyond grateful. God bless all of them, and especially Ivy, who is truly the sweetest and most helpful person we've met on our journey. Xie Xie from the bottom of our hearts!
The hotel itself is amazing with super comfortable rooms and a great location — just a short walk from the South Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical place. The dinner is tasty and nicely cooked!
Love everything about the hotel! Staffs are very friendly. You can ask them for recommendations and they are willing to help(ask for their wechat!). The room was clean and have good view of the river. At night you can see the show from your room window. The location is convenient for walking to different places. The room have everything you need even a mini washing machine and a heated hanger!! There is a bathtub in the room too. Just the entrance that you have to lift your luggage up the stairs.

The room facilities are very new, and the air conditioner has a stable wind speed. Whatever I need, the front desk will deliver it to my door as soon as possible. The cost performance of living here is quite high. The front desk is also very enthusiastic, and you can hear a greeting when you come back at night. Parking is also very convenient. Their parking lot is downstairs and you can take the elevator directly to the hotel. Downstairs is Cha Yan Yue Se. You can have a cup of tea when you come back from going out. Next time I come to Changsha, I will choose this place again.
The environment of the B&B is refreshing and very suitable for vacation. I stayed for 3 days, but it still felt short. The facilities are very new, the service is in place, the housekeeper in the group responds promptly, and the breakfast variety is very rich and delicious. I was very tired after playing every day, but I still wanted to walk around the B&B, play chess, and have a cup of tea. The children liked the cats and dogs in the B&B. Every detail made people feel comfortable. I encountered some small troubles during the trip, and the B&B was also enthusiastic to help solve them. I was very touched. I will definitely choose here again next time I come to Zhangjiajie.

GGuest UserWe chose this hotel after reading many excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. This hotel lives up to the excellent reviews they received. This is by far the best hotel room we had stayed for this holiday.
We prefer this location which is just outside the ancient town, an easy 5-10 min walk to the main Rainbow Bridge, entrance to ancient town. The hotel is very clean, very spacious and we love the firm comfortable bed for a quiet good night sleep. Buffett breakfast offers a wide range of options to choose from. The hotel provided us with free pick up and send off services to Railway station. This is a pleasant welcomed surprise, thank you.
We commend the front office staff for their friendly and warm services. Special mention to XiaoLong (小龙) and XiaoDai (小代). They were very patient in explaining to us the various procedures and assisting us with our train ticket booking when we encountered unexpected issues. We highly commend their spirit of service.
YYibeibingmeishi︵This Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain travel and accommodation experience was excellent! First, when we arrived at the homestay, the boss came out to receive us and helped us park the car, and took us in to check in. After that, seeing that we were a family of three with a puppy, and there were relatively few people that day, he helped us upgrade the room type for free, with a small yard, which was very comfortable. After that, he also helped us talk about the Tianmen Mountain travel guide, so that we understood the general travel route. For dinner, we also experienced the Zhangjiajie special three-pot, which was a big pot and three people were very satisfied. The next morning, the boss personally cooked breakfast for us, and it was also very delicious. If it weren't for the time being a bit rushed this time, I would definitely play for a few more days. Let's see you next time, see you later!

GGuest UserThe boss is super nice. He takes my child to catch fish and chickens every day, and helps to pick us up when we go to scenic spots. The food at the B&B is also delicious. The vegetables are all grown by themselves, and the boss and the child catch the chickens all over the ground. The room is also very clean, and there are dehumidifiers and clothes dryers. The environment is also very good. There is a big pond in front of the door. The child caught a lot of tadpoles and plans to take them home to raise. Every day when I get bored, I ask the boss: What are we playing? What is there to play? The boss will arrange various activities. The child doesn't want to leave after playing, and says he will come again next time he has a holiday. In addition, the chicken soup, crispy fish, pickled cabbage, and the rapeseed moss grown by the boss are really delicious. Next time I have a holiday, I will come here to catch lobsters, and then try to eat all the fish and chickens raised by the boss, hahahaha

GGuest UserMy partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the no. 5 valley in. From having a long travel day and arriving to the accomodation at 9pm we were greeted by the worker Frankie and another wonderful worker carrying our luggage in and welcoming us with tea in the reception area which was so nice and cosy with a fireplace running. Despite Kitchen being closed, they organised meals for us as they knew we hadn’t yet. They welcomed us to our room where we were absolutely blown away with how beautiful and comfortable it was. It was the best hotel we stayed out in our whole trip to China, we loved the tea room that it came with.
Frankie went above and beyond in helping us have a great stay and helping us navigate the national park. Frankie provided us with transfers to the national park whenever we wanted and gave us lots of tips for our future trips. I highly recommend staying here for a combination of comfort and luxury. Thanks guys!
The animals who live there are so cute as well hehe

CCalogeroWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly located for visiting Zhangjiajie National Park. Being so close to the park entrance allowed us to start our hikes early in the morning, making the most of our days.
The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout our stay. One young woman in particular went out of her way to make us feel welcome—she was incredibly sweet and helpful. We felt truly pampered, with thoughtful touches like complimentary fresh fruit, tea, and local sweeties.
The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after long days of exploring. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

GGuest User5* - Doubtless the best accommodation in Zhangjiajie
This turned out to be the best possible accommodation option for visiting the tourist sites around Zhangjiajie (itself one of the finest tourist destinations in China). It is extremely comfortable and well-kept. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious in a modern design, with a lot of warm, light-coloured, solid wood. In cold weather, the heating (including floor-heating) works very well and so, after a long day's tourism (potentially among the crowds), the Zishan resort is a sanctuary of peace for you to return to. It is in a quiet mountain environment with beautiful scenery. Lulu, who speaks very good English, looked after every possible detail of the stay - it was effortless for the guest. She organized cars (to and from the airport, to and from the tourist sites), as well as entrance tickets to the various attractions. Without her, life would have been much more complicated. All of the staff were most friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble for them. A word regarding location: no hotel in the region can offer proximity to all of the tourist sites (National Park, Grand Canyon, Tianmen Mountain), because they are all some distance from each other. Therefore, wherever you stay, you will need to take some cars; but that is no problem, as they are readily available. However, Zishan resort also offers the advantage of being literally 10 minutes' walk from the south-east gate of the National Park, used by far fewer tourists than the main gate. Therefore, even if the resort is some distance from the city, this is a major advantage, coupled with the beautifully peaceful setting. Zishan resort also has a good restaurant which is open for most of the day. This tastefully created hotel made for a truly memorable stay (though I can imagine that it may not be easy to obtain a room during the main tourist season!).

PPaowoahTraveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to?
We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere.
Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use.
Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.
AahshanTucked away in the scenic heart of Wulingyuan, Er Ya You Inn offers a cosy, authentic stay with a distinctly local charm. The inn combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern comfort—think wooden interiors, warm lighting, and serene mountain views from many of the rooms.
The hosts are exceptionally welcoming, often going out of their way to help with travel tips, tickets, or even home-cooked meals. Its location is ideal for exploring the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, just a short walk or drive away.
While the inn isn’t luxurious, it’s clean, atmospheric, and offers great value—perfect for travellers looking for a peaceful base to enjoy the natural wonders of the area.

Good
GGuest UserThe room is quite spacious, with a clothes drying rack, a bathtub, a projector, and even a special dressing table, as well as a small balcony where you can go out to smoke. There is also a washing machine on the fifth floor. It is located next to the river, and across the street is a snack street. It is very convenient to eat. The solid wood retro decoration in the house is stylish and very hygienic. I brought my children here and they liked it very much. I stayed here for three consecutive days. The above are secondary. The main thing is that the boss is very good! He will help you arrange the itinerary, so that you can have fun during the day and stay comfortably at night. This time I was in a hurry and only had three days. I will stay here again next time.
