While staying at the hotel, you can also visit Mao Zedong's former residence. There's a restaurant next to the residence with an impeccable dining environment, which I unfortunately only discovered upon checking out. The hotel's east gate has a bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the museum, Yellow Crane Tower, and Tanhualin. It’s a great way to enjoy the city views while traveling. There are also many restaurants nearby. Now for the cons: The facilities are a bit dated. The outlets in the room are very loose; I could only charge my devices in the bathroom. Also, there are so many mirrors that it constantly created visual illusions. There's no elevator access to the rooms for breakfast, so I had to climb stairs every time. Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel and hope for improvements.
