Romantic Hotels in Guangdong, China

I booked a stay at this 5 star hotel for 3 days 2 nights, I must say that the room is clean and spacious, with numerous facilities for all family members such as badminton, tennis, billard, hotspring, cycling, archery etc. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. 2 staff we encountered were constantly on their phone and not attentive at all. What really pissed us off was the incident that we put up Do Not Disturb at our door as we were taking our afternoon nap. Yet, the hotel staff called our room number. as we were asleep, we didn't pick up. Guess what. They actually called my mobile phone. Just to ask if they need to clean the room. We went to seek clarifications at the hotel reception which the reception staff at first deny they called, until we showed them the missed call number from the hotel. Then they said will feedback to their manager. At night, the manager Ms Wong called. to our disgust, she said that was their SOP! Which hotel, to say this is a 5 star hotel, that when guest put up Do Not Disturb sign, it's their SOP to call the room and worst to call guests' personal mobile phone. Isn't this an invasion of privacy, calling our personal line. This is the first time we experienced this. We never had this when we put up Do Not Disturb sign at numerous hotels we stayed before. The manager didn't sound apologetic at all but very defensive. Even to the extent that they are checking on pir safety. I was really perturbed by her comment above. Excellent service especially by the restaurant Miss 张菊娇 who took great care of me and my friends. Appreciation also to the kitchen chef who specially prepared a bowl of porridge for me which was not on the menu. In summary this is a very well managed hotel with modern amenities. The room was fair, and the service was quite good when I requested assistance with an extra desk, as I was unable to work with my computer wedged between the shelves. However, the facilities in the room need some improvement; I felt uncomfortable having to look up at the ceiling with silver tapes worrying it’s going to fall. Additionally, the electricity went out on the last morning of my stay, which was inconvenient…

I planned to travel off-peak in March, and chose to stay at Pera Manor when I came to Nankun Mountain. It was a satisfying trip; the hotel lobby was warm and elegant. After we checked in quickly, the housekeeper led us to the room; the Japanese-style room style, unique Zen and warmth, warm wood tones with simple layout, instantly dispelled the fatigue of the journey; the skin-friendly bedding was clean and comfortable, allowing people to have a good night's sleep; the toiletries in the room were made of high-quality natural plant series, with a fresh smell and comfortable feeling; the scenery outside the room was also refreshing, facing the lake view and feeling the breeze, very comfortable. This stay was very comfortable, and I will come back to experience a different scenery next time.

One of the best homestays I have ever visited. The environment is beautiful- all of the property looks like a piece of art. Tucked away into the mountains and less than one kilometer from Danxia Mountain entrance, this place is a hidden gem. The rooms are large and have all of the features that you want in a five star hotel: fancy shower and large jacuzzi tub, comfortable pillows and mattress, and spacious. The food from the restaurant is delicious and affordable. We bought several bottles of their homemade rice wine and flower tea. Will definitely visit again! My husband, child (2yrs) and I had a great visit.

For example, when I didn’t have a local phone number, the staff kindly found alternative ways to ensure I can order meals etc, demonstrating their commitment to guest comfort and convenience. The holiday season at the hotel was nothing short of magical. The festive decorations were beautifully curated, from sparkling lights to intricate holiday displays, creating a cozy yet luxurious winter wonderland. Every corner exuded the Christmas spirit, making the atmosphere warm and inviting. Combined with cheerful staff who embodied the holiday joy, the experience felt like stepping into a scene from a holiday storybook. Even when I was feeling a little under the weather, the team went above and beyond to provide care. One outstanding member 黄燚 HuangYi made my stay extra special as did a special mention to Karen who help provide me with information on where to go to do activities and explore. They promptly ensured I had everything I needed, from thoughtful amenities to attentive follow-ups, creating a warm and supportive environment for me to recover so swiftly. The buffet breakfast is a must. This is the most top Atour Ive stayed in! I have been to 5 others in different cities! Well managed and standards are kept high. From the festive ambiance to the impeccable service, this hotel offers a truly memorable experience. I would absolutely return in the future and wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a perfect getaway, especially during the holidays.

Very good location! Breakfast table staff (a lady who’s always there) is very friendly and helpful :) the hotel robot is so smart and always busy sending “grab food” to room guests- always bump into him haha. Room is good; free laundry and a small gym is available too. Breakfast is fine with very nice soy milk! Thank you for the good service Miss Xiao Chen and also a complement to the staff lady at the breakfast table :) (too bad I didn’t ask for her name)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at huayi hotel, and I must say, it’s the little things that truly set it apart. From the moment I checked in, it was evident that attention to detail was a priority. Each room is thoughtfully equipped with a multi-port cable, which was an absolute lifesaver for charging multiple devices at once. I didn’t have to worry about running out of power . One of the highlights for me was the free laundry service offered to guests. It's not something you typically find at many hotels, and it made a huge difference during my trip. The convenience of not having to pack extra clothes or find a laundry service nearby. Additionally, the hotel offers a lovely daily hot tea brew in the lobby. Whether you're returning after a long day of sightseeing or just want to relax, this thoughtful gesture adds a cosy touch to your stay. Overall, this hotel is a perfect blend of luxury and practicality, with an exceptional focus on the details that truly enhance the guest experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a thoughtful, comfortable stay!

The hotel is situated atop a 44-floor complex that includes a shopping center and offices. Unfortunately, there are only four elevators to serve the entire building, which makes waiting times excruciatingly long, especially during office hours and lunch breaks. The elevators stop at nearly every floor, making it a frustrating experience whether you're heading up or down. This was the only significant negative during my stay. On the positive side, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming compared to another 5 stars property which cost twice as much. However, they seemed quite young and lacked in-depth knowledge about the city. This seems to be a common trend in many hotels I've stayed at across China, as most staff members are not locals and come from other cities or provinces. Despite this, their warmth and willingness to help made up for the lack of local expertise.

The hotel facilities and breakfast buffet are of good quality; the temperature and minerals of the mineral water on the balcony are especially good! After soaking, the skin is delicate and smooth! The breakfast and dinner buffets are very rich and have everything! Especially the guest relations Carina Yi Baohong has been tracking the service from check-in to check-out, and revealed the surrounding good places for eating and playing! Warm reminder, remember to participate in the hotel's sunset ceremony at 6 o'clock every night, and the special scenery that can be seen everywhere in the hotel is very photogenic, it is a very trustworthy experience and a place you will come again!
