Romantic Hotels in Anhui, China

After careful consideration, we decided to book Baiyun Hotel because of the convenient location to the various spots of sunrise and sunset. We were lucky enough to start our day early and therefore arrived earlier than check-in times. The staff was kind enough to let us into the room at that time and Ms. SONG was the loveliest, as she was constantly taking care of us, including sending us messages through WeChat regarding sunset/sunrise times, suggestions, tips, amenities and shows. (The hotel even had a performance later in the evening). Regarding the rooms, they were quite nice, the hotel even provided thick jackets so that we can be warmer during those early morning trips. What stood out for us was that the bathroom included a Japanese toilet and very nice body lotion. One thing that could be said, is that they were slightly pushy about providing a 5-star review, which they do deserve.

Perfect stay in this amazing mountain. The hotel is well located. Staff is really available to make the stay comfortable. Hotel has all services you need, you forget that you are on the top of a mountain with no access by road. Good job to all people who carry all the stuff on their strong shoulders ! Room was clean, very confortable bed. On the morning the hotel organize a sunrise tour and you have a special jacket in your room as it is quite cold in the morning. The food is great with plenty of delicious choices. I highly recommend.

First of all, fairly easy to get to, and the manager will direct you on the routes to take. The day was sunny and we went about to West Canyon. This is a must see and fun. The rest is pedestrian. We went to see the sunset with the hotel. Not much happened. It rained in the morning, so no sunrise tour. However, after the rain was the mist, giving credit to its fame.

We needed to show our passports at every entry or boarding point, as the electronic tickets were linked to our passport numbers. The hotel we stayed at is a nice one, located right next to the Yuping cable car. However, be prepared to climb another 15 minutes to reach the hotel. We arrived early at 10 am, so our room was not available yet. We left our small backpacks at the hotel and trekked to the Bright Summit. Along the way, we saw monkeys and passed by the Baiyun Hotel. By the time we returned to Yupinglou Hotel, it was almost evening. The trek was scenic but very tiring, with many stairs. Our kind and helpful host, Yu Jian, from Yupinglou Hotel was in constant contact with us through WeChat and recommended places to visit. This hotel is closest to the Celestial Capital Peak, but I was too tired to climb it the next morning. I highly recommend climbing this peak and will do it if I have the chance to visit again. Overall, it’s a nice hotel to stay in. Don’t expect too many luxuries, as it’s located on top of a rugged mountain. Even the vegetables and food need to be carried by porters to the hotels, which is no easy task.

The best hotel in many terms specially if you want to hiking to Huangshan Mt. The owner gave us lots of information about everthing. Make it very convenience to us. The location if the hotel just right beside bus station to Huangshan Mt. You can also take bus to Hong Cun village from here. The technology in the room was amazing. I love it! Really reccomended for forreigner who can't speak Chinese.

Unless you stay on the mountain itself I would assume this is the best hotel. We stayed in January. The ”hot springs” are great after a day on the mountain. The room is a bit old, which is understandable because it is on the top of a mountain. But the service is very good. The lady is very enthusiastic and answers all your questions. You can watch the sunrise in the room and avoid the cold. If you are naked, you are already invincible.

One of the workers, made contact via wechat and met with us to explain (using translation app) how and where to go on the trail once up on the mountain and how much go pay, routes to avoid and how to get home. He was extremely helpful despite the language barrier. The bedroom was large and spacious and a good hot shower. The images on the advert were npt as we found it unfortunately. The inside space was outdated and we found it in need of some love and care. The reception was damp and mouldy, the same in the bedroom under the window. We paid for a window room but had small windows as we were on the 5th floor. The curtains and drapes were ripped and need to be replaced. We ate at the restaurant multiple times and this was really good and reasonably priced. There is a shop on site and always people around ready to help. It just needs a good paint job and some new touches in the bedrooms / removal of ripped drapes. It was a shame as the images online do not reflect the actual room we had. The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

The homestead is located inside the acenic area of Hongchun. It is very convenient to all the attractions and restaurants. You csn have a nice stroll after dinner. The hostel is very 'Zen Style' if you choose for the 2nd hostel called 'Xindeng 心灯'. The room is huge and clean. There also offer nice chinese teas for enjoyment. The homestead owner is also very helpful in arranging the transport for ferrying to the hostel and to another destination. However, it is much easier to communicate with the operator via Wechat which is local apps. Use Wechat to call for the transport arrangement for any purpose. The only minor issue is the early distutbed noise of motors and residents will wake you up in the early morning of 6am. The homestead is just next to one of the main lane.

It was my first time to come to Jiuhua Mountain and I chose to stay at Dongya Hotel. The location of the hotel is better and it is also the most expensive one on the mountain. The facilities are okay. The room has a slight smell of smoke and is clean and tidy. Maybe if there is more privacy between the sink and the bedroom It would be friendlier. You can see the mountain view in the distance outside the window. The slight drawback is that for rooms on the fifth floor, you need to take the elevator to the fourth floor and then walk one floor to the fifth floor. This hotel is located stone throw from both the bus terminals, so location 5 stars. Amenities - rooms, restaurant, foot massage center(cannot locate) and Chinese chess rooms. Not sure, how this hotel is awarded 5 stars? Rooms setup - guess it is time to renovate. Heard the renovation project is approved! Cheers! Services - rooms for improvement! As I had a early flight to catch at 9.50am and the earliest bus from the mountain to the tourist center was 6.30am (again different front desk staffs told me different timings) so I tried to request for a paid car service to send me down. They said the hotel doesn't provide such service, asked me to reach out in the streets to see if the resturants or shop owners can provide such services! 1st time encounter in a 5 stars hotel, really a good learning for me in 2024:)
