It's a sight that is well worth the early start, and the morning chill is alleviated by thick down jackets available to all guests.The hotel is built in traditional Hui style with rustic but cozy wood-lined "eco" rooms. More traditional-style options are available, many of which offer exceptional mountain views. All guestrooms feature high-speed broadband Internet access, satellite TVs, mini-bars and in-room safes.Dining options on Huang Shan are limited to hotels and snack stalls with the Baiyuan Hotel's restaurant offering a range of Chinese and Western options. Other facilities include a small shop and a business center for those all-important emails, but really Huang Shan is all about the magnificent scenery and a mountain-top stay is the perfect way to enjoy it to the max.
"We stayed in this hotel for one night during summer. We were welcomed very warmly and the staff made sure everything was alright ! The staff also speaks english, which was a great point for us ! The room had an amazing view off the mountains and the clouds. The room was clean and very well equiped, even with a light and a rain coat to go see the sunrise in the morning. When we came back from the sunset, there was a show with traditional dancing and singing. The buffet was good and we were able to eat some local food !
Overall a really great stay to rest after a long treck in the moutains !"

"I stayed for a day, and the biggest impression was how convenient the location is. It's right on a pedestrian street, so in the evening, I could just stroll over to Li Mansion for some food and drinks without going far. There are even charging stations right downstairs, so those who drive here don't have to worry about recharging. The room itself was pretty standard but clean and tidy, and the pillows were just right, so I slept comfortably. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in the area for business."

"The service was excellent! The staff were always friendly and greeted us proactively. We even received a complimentary upgrade to a room with a small balcony, and the view was absolutely stunning. During our two days in Huangshan, we were treated to a breathtaking sea of clouds, a gorgeous sunset, a starry night sky, and a spectacular sunrise – simply perfect. We also enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. While the variety wasn't extensive, it was impressive to know that all the food was carried up by porters, step by step. That's no easy feat! 👍"

"Awesome! Since I was traveling with a child, I specifically booked a tatami room. The two beds pushed together made for a super large sleeping area, and as soon as we entered, my baby was crawling around, exploring everything with great curiosity and having a blast rolling around on the bed. The hotel offers a shuttle service, making it very convenient to get to Huangshan. The hotel also has its own restaurant with delicious food and generous portions; we ended up eating both our main meals there. The breakfast buffet also had a good variety of food options. All in all, it was a great experience."

Since I was traveling alone this time, they even upgraded my room to a larger one with city views and a glimpse of the Yangtze River. Wuhu is my second hometown, and this trip I could only stay in a hotel! The hotel is also quite close to Xiaoma Duck Restaurant and Shuangtong Alley, so I could walk to eat Lao Diao Beef Noodles and Erjie Red Bean Soup."

"The room was spacious and comfortable, with memory foam pillows and nice bedding. The decor was modern.
It's close to the road, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise at night. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear the person next door talking on the phone. You can ask the front desk for earplugs.
The breakfast selection was fairly extensive, but some of the bread was stale and dry, and there were small fruit flies.
There's an underground parking garage, it's not huge but sufficient. It had a drain inside with a strange smell. The garage entrance is about 50m past the hotel's front entrance, then turn right."

FFury.SakuraThe Jiuhua Mountains Julong Hotel, which is conveniently located right at the entrance of the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. It was very convenient to venture around the mountain by foot. As for food, we didn’t quite get accustomed to the flavors, especially with the spices. The breakfast at Julong Hotel was good, but it can get crowded before 8 am. There is no gym in the hotel. It snowed on the 3rd day and it was chilly. The room was equiped with heater so it was ok. The walkway outside the hotel room can be very noisy, especially with kids running and adults talking. Otherwise, the overall experience was good.

The service is very thoughtful and attentive, and the food is delicious! I was touched by the owner's ingenuity and dedication; her handwritten postcards and messages were truly healing.
I really loved the tea garden behind the guesthouse. I could spend a whole afternoon sunbathing, listening to the rushing sound of the stream, just daydreaming, meditating, and clearing my mind!

The decor is charmingly traditional, perfectly complementing the Huizhou architectural style. The guesthouse itself feels like an integral part of the scenic area, featuring a garden restaurant and a coffee bar where you can even pet cats. The owner is fantastic, offering luggage pickup and drop-off services right from the bus station. It's a highly recommended place to stay.

Mmai7378Mount Huangshan is a mountain range of breathtaking beauty and rugged terrain. Maintaining a four-star hotel inside a 5A protected scenic area, where every supply — from food and bed linens to waste removal — must be carried up and down the mountain manually by workers, requires an extraordinary amount of effort and dedication. It is impossible to compare the operational cost and hard work behind a four-star hotel here with hotels in ordinary locations.
Even so, this hotel provided an excellent experience in every aspect. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were always warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic.
I would especially like to thank Ms. Xiao Ma at the front desk. She assisted me throughout my entire stay and helped resolve every issue I encountered, even though we had to communicate through WeChat translation. I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism.
I highly recommend this hotel and sincerely hope to return one day with my family and friends. Huangshan is truly an unforgettable place.

GGuest UserThis is my second time staying at this hotel, purely because of its location. For its spot, the amenities still offer great value for money. However, this time I booked a king room and was given one facing the street. My much-anticipated holiday, a relaxing mountain escape in southern Anhui, was ruined by a night of noise. I understand that the Yellow Mountain entrance/exit sees a lot of traffic, but the reality is I didn't sleep a wink. I'd suggest upgrading the windows on the street-facing side to high-standard, soundproof ones – it would make a real difference. The breakfast selection also seemed a bit limited. Overall though, it's still consistently good and remains one of the top-tier options in this town. These are my honest thoughts, hope they're helpful.

To our surprise, the hotel concierge even informed us in advance that we could upgrade to a 200-square-meter villa suite – what a huge, pleasant surprise! Our private car could park directly in front of the villa. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to the restaurant, lobby, and other hotel areas, available on-call. Banyan Tree truly sets the standard for hotels; both the hardware and software are top-notch. The service attitude is excellent, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and fresh fruit and pastries are delivered daily. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. At sunset, there are special performances, and you can also enjoy a complimentary travel photography service, with three free photos per room number. From the highest point outside the lobby, you can overlook the Lucun ancient village scenic area, which makes for fantastic photos. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute drive from Hongcun and a 20-minute drive from Xidi. It's also only half an hour from Yixian East Station. This hotel comes highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Villa Emerald Valley especially due to:
+ Lovely hosts: super friendly, multi generational, from the neighborhood and always keen to fulfill all our wishes even before we knew them
+ Bright, modern, clean and cosy rooms: Big windows, clean and modern bathroom facilities (great hot shower that is truly needed after a day in the mountain), really comfy beds, water boiler, etc.
+ Nice common area: game room, restaurant, tea table, small pool
+ Tasty food: breakfast, lunch and dinner freshly prepared, many options (also vegetarian), fresh fruits and tea, decent prices -＞ we loved their tomato&egg, bamboo, qingcai and tofu dishes
+ Smooth communication and great service: quick responses via WeChat, airport pick up (200¥ one way), support with ticket booking for huangshan, carrying luggage, extra fruits, etc.
+ Emerging into the community: as it was tea harvest time, the hosts took us to the tea mountain close by where we could help picking tea leaves
+ Location: huangshan is overall really touristy with a lot of group tourism and thus overall probably not the nicest place to stay for a longer time. However, the home stay, while being close to all main tourist attractions, lies very calm and right beside the mountains where locals live and work, so it does not feel touristy at all and you could easily spend several days there to explore and relax
Also , the hosts can speak some English, so communication for foreigners is not a problem.

YYuqiStaying at Shuguangli felt just like coming home; every staff member provided meticulous service. The food, from the in-room meal boxes to the dinner dishes, was exceptionally high quality. What surprised me the most were the hotel's various thoughtful details. It was my first time seeing a hotel provide a Zojirushi electric kettle, which thrilled this tea lover! Apart from the persimmons decorating the trees, all other flowers and plants in the hotel are real. The floral arrangements in the rooms and restaurant are designed and arranged by the staff themselves. Even the tissue boxes are made of Xiangyun silk, with every small detail exuding the elegance and charm of traditional culture. The only downside is the abundance of small insects in the mountains. Although the hotel sprays daily, it's inevitable to encounter a few stragglers in the room. I will definitely choose to stay at Shuguangli again next time I visit Huangshan to see the rime.
