Old Hanoi Restaurant

This restaurant is the most popular one in Hanoi. It is a must-eat restaurant for many foreign tourists when they come to Hanoi. The environment is really good, with a distinctive Vietnamese decoration style. The dishes are also unique Vietnamese snack style. Of course, the price is a little more expensive than ordinary Vietnamese restaurants.

SanFuLou is a chain of restaurants specializing in famous Cantonese dishes in Vietnam. Most of their restaurants are a combination of contemporary design mixed with colors and traditional Cantonese houses. It is also considered as one of the first Chinese-style restaurants with open kitchen concepts to allow diners to view the process of preparing delicious foods. This outlet is located at 6 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, and is open daily from 1000-2200. It is just opposite the Hanoi Opera House. I had ordered a double boiled chicken and bamboo pith soup, crab and pork dumplings, crab and seafood green fried rice and a drink.

Sala Thai is located at 20 Duong Thanh, Cua Dong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, and is open daily from 1000-2200. It is around 800 meters 10 minutes walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. This lovely thai restaurant offers a variety of delicious thai foods like shrimp or papaya salad, tom yam, and many more for you to choose from. I hand order curry chicken with rice, fried cabbage and ice green tea. The cabbage smoky flavor is nice, the curry not so spicy, and the combination with the rice is marvelous. The ice green tea is ok and not too sweet, but i did not like the tapioca pearls in the drinks.
