SummerShack has two stores in Boston. I went to the one in Cambridge, an American restaurant in a small house, decorated with fishing nets and shells. I ordered three kinds of oysters and a small cold dish of ocean platter. For me, the small oysters are less fishy and have a better freshness and sweetness. Although the large ones taste better, they have a fishy and salty taste. The seafood platter has three small ones, oysters, shrimps, and shellfish, all with sauces. Boston lobsters are delicious, and they feel about the same freshness as those eaten in Maine, and with corn and butter, they are fresh, sweet and strong. Overall, it is a small restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and moderate prices. Oysters and lobsters are recommended, but seafood platter is not recommended.
