Madame Fromage

I checked the reviews and found that this shop makes the best Welsh cheese. Although it is not easy to find in the corridor, the location next to the castle is still very good. After we visited the castle, the main shop was already full of people. Fortunately, there was another shop next to the road for us to sit (we had to go back to pay the bill). The cheese here is very flavorful, and I prefer the feeling of cheese after heating it.

Nice place in an arcade, very good food, nice staff, friendly. I recommend this restaurant, not expensive and good quality.

We came to Madame Fromage after reading an full, frank and honestly hilarious reply to a dodgy review. But if we'd chanced upon it we'd have visited anyway. The location is perfect in a traditional arcade. The welcome was warm and the selection of cheeses tempting (but not for my fellow plane passengers!) Brunch was called for and the doorstep bacon butty and Welsh rarebit hit the spot perfectly. Throw in a couple of artisan pies to take away for later and we were happy. Even a fire alarm couldn't spoil the visit! Definitely recommended. I'll absolutely return next time I'm in town (if only to shake the hand of the reply writer, sadly not in during our visit! )
