I have become a shade darker&hellip; I am so stupid today&hellip; When you come to Turkey, you must come to hafiz mustafa, which was opened in 1864, to eat dessert. The Bosphorus Strait is beautiful outside the window&hellip; The most important thing is that it was the first time I ate a dessert that almost made me vomit! It was so expensive! This cafe, according to Thai reviews, is a must-try. They have a wide variety of desserts, some quite sweet to very sweet. I tried three items on the menu, and the tea was fragrant and delicious, but the prices are a bit high.

Today I planned to do some shopping at the beyazit market. From my hotel I walked to there and passed by Beyazit Meydanı 📸
In the market you will find lot of souvenir shops, fake clothes/accessories shops, some restaurant and coffee shops. It’s ok to buy few souvenirs but you can find the same one cheaper in other area in Istanbul. It’s still nice to say that it come from this market so go for it.
For lunch I stopped at a small restaurant which was the one where all the workers go for lunch 📸

My next stop was Kadikoy! To go there I took the boat from Eminomu and cross the river.
Kadikoy is pretty good, it’s in the Asian side of Istanbul. Lot of shops again, restaurant, coffee, bars. I think that everything is quite cheaper there so it’s good to spend time 📸
I enjoyed the sunset from the coast and visited some fisherman 📸 before going back to the European side by train

It is a Turkish scrambled egg with tomatoes, sweet peppers and sometimes onions. Usually the locals eat this as breakfast. Menemen topped with cheese is my favourite. The cheese compliments well with Menemen.

2. çay 🫖 
The national drink of this country.  çay is brewed in different ways in different stores. Make sure you drink this whenever you enjoy your meals or desserts in Istanbul!

3. Hafiz Mustafa’s desserts 🍮 
Well known for their Baklava. Instead, I would recommend the trileçe (aka three milk cake). The sweetness is balanced and it has very smooth texture.

I was so excited to discover Hafiz Mustafa 1864 at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. Knowing it is one of the oldest and most renowned places for baklava made the experience even more special. The variety of flavors was impressive, and every piece looked beautifully crafted. I tried a selection of baklava, and each one was fresh, perfectly crisp, and filled with rich, high-quality nuts. The sweetness was well balanced without being overwhelming. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. If you love authentic Turkish desserts, Hafiz Mustafa 1864 is definitely worth visiting.
