携Cheng携ChengTurkish Kebab
This is a kebab restaurant in Istanbul. After more than ten days of group meals, I don't have any extravagant expectations for Turkish food. In fact, Turkish cuisine is a well-known cuisine in the world, especially Turkish kebab is very famous. But the group meals along the way were really unpalatable. I came to Istanbul and could travel independently, so I must try what real Turkish rice is like.
I chose to visit Independence Street for a free trip. I searched for this nearby restaurant and found it very popular, so I decided to eat here. This restaurant is charcoal barbecue, with chicken, beef, and lamb. Everything is delicious. The meat is fragrant and the roasting is just right, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also ordered grilled onions, which are not bad, without the raw taste of onions. There is no problem in communicating in English when ordering, and it is more convenient to use translation software. The waiter is quite interesting and asked us how to say cattle and sheep in Chinese.
PS: Don't be confused by group meals, Turkish food is still good, at least this one is.Excellent

I went to a very famous local restaurant to eat authentic Turkish kebab. It was still recommended. When I ate at other restaurants, I mentioned it to the restaurant owner and he also said it's very famous. When I was about to arrive, I discovered that this restaurant is in the alley of Independence Street. There was a terrorist attack at the beginning of the month. The whole street was patrolled by police and security checks, but it was still prosperous.
The grilled steak is good. The side dish of creamed spinach is my favorite flavor. The spinach is tender and smooth, full of milk flavor, and super delicious. The other mashed potato is delicate and dense, not only relieves greasiness, but also enriches the taste, which is equally wonderful.
Turkish food: kebab means barbecue in Turkish. It is no exaggeration to say that Turkey is a kingdom of barbecue. Kebab shops that grill for diners on the spot around the grill can be easily found all over the streets. As Hamiti, the owner of Istanbul's landmark restaurant Zubeyir Ocakbasi (reservations required in advance), said: "Meat quality is king." The meat used for kebabs must be very fresh, with a little fat, and preferably 30% fat. Kebabs are usually accompanied by a large number of side dishes, such as grilled cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, etc. Due to the large number of kebabs in various places, Turkey's barbecue varieties are also very complex, but the more famous one is Adana kebab, which is a spicy kebab named after its origin in the southern Turkish city of Adana. When eating, you can pair it with a cup of Turkish yogurt drink ayran to relieve the spicy stimulation.
