This Restaurant / Hotel (has 10 upscale rooms) is a hidden gem in Avila.  The grounds are beautiful, and the food at their restaurant is top notch.  The chef outdid himself with our food, Foie, Salmorejo, delicious salmon with a corn sauce and Chulet&oacute;n  de Avila, to end the evening with a perfect torrija.Next time we visit Avila we will definitely stay there and do the whole program.  This home was originally the summer home for Adolfo Suarez one of the past presidents of Spain.  Therefore the name &ldquo;La casa del Presidente&rdquo;Don&rsquo;t miss it on  your next trip to Avila.

Nothing really. Staff were not very well trained in the restaurant ( wife&#39;s main course brought to table with my starter, and my main was presented to us as a sharing dish).Starter(cockles) was a cold soup with a few cockles in it, which was poor, and the two mains were both pretty tasteless. Not a happy evening!

Al entrar, parec&iacute;a ser un bar. Nos cost&oacute; encontrar alguien que nos llevara el apunte. Despu&eacute;s de un rato de espera por fin nos indicaron que el restaurante estaba atr&aacute;s. Entonces vimos un espacio agradable y mucho menos ruidoso que el bar. Al principio tem&iacute;amos que el servicio iba a ser lento porque el camarero no se acerc&oacute; por un rato. Sin embargo, en cuanto pedimos la comida, todo lleg&oacute; r&aacute;pidamente y muy bien presentada. Adem&aacute;s todo lo que pedimos estaba delicioso (la burrata--exquisita, y el cordero tambi&eacute;n). El camarero nos hizo una recomendaci&oacute;n de vino para acompa&ntilde;ar que tambi&eacute;n nos gust&oacute; mucho. Si viviera en Espa&ntilde;a volver&iacute;a seguro.

When we entered, it looked like a bar. We had a hard time finding someone to take our orders. After waiting a while, we were finally told that the restaurant was in the back. Then we saw a nice space that was much less noisy than the bar. At first we were afraid that the service would be slow because the waiter didn&#39;t come over for a while. However, as soon as we ordered the food, everything arrived quickly and was very well presented. In addition, everything we ordered was delicious (the burrata was exquisite, and the lamb too). The waiter recommended a wine to accompany it, which we also really liked. If I lived in Spain, I would definitely go back.

Cena superagradable.  Comida rica y buen servicio  en un entorno maravilloso. Miguel, el director del hotel y jefe de sala, fue encantador y nos dio un trato exquisito. volveremos seguro.

Super nice dinner. Delicious food and good service in a wonderful setting. Miguel, the hotel manager and head waiter, was charming and treated us exquisitely. We will definitely be back.

We started off outside but moved in as it became too cold. Really buzzing atmosphere inside.The waitress was really helpful with the use of Google translate  we managed ok. Lots of locals eating there, always a good sign. Good wine &amp; menu choices

We booked a late night dinner to have a solemn dinner and it was accepted. When we arrived, the indoor dining and kitchen is almost close. We were offered a table outside (terrace) which we appreciated but it&#39;s too noisy. We&#39;re given the option to stay in the bar with a few decent tables but we&#39;re not able to order a lot because the staff said the kitchen is about to close and the menu is limited, which made me wonder why would they accept the reservation if the kitchen closes early. The food is delicious and tasty so our frustration went away somehow. Great stuff!

The service and the quality of the food were both excellent.

Except for the fact that the space is a little small, this restaurant is a perfect place. Not only is the price not expensive, but the food provided is also very delicious and the portions are large.

The restaurant maybe seats 25 people. It has an authentic flavor of old Spain with a beehive fireplace in the corner. The entire patina was charming combined with wonderful service and, of course, food. There are several reasonably priced &ldquo;menu del Dias&rdquo; for every taste and pocketbook. The place is going on our very short list of overall restaurant winners.

We stopped by this restaurant to eat the traditional &Aacute;vila steak and it was spectacular! Also the waiters were really kind!
