Tanyang Market If you want to have a market, you have to come on the day with the numbers 1 and 6, which are the 1st, 6th, 11th, 16th, 21st, and 26th of every month. There will be a fresh market with food, desserts, and vegetable stalls. Normally, there will be a lot of tourists. On the day of the market, almost every restaurant will have customers waiting in front of their shop.

I went on a weekday and there were places that weren't open, but I still looked around and bought some delicious food. The Nurungji Chicken Gangjeong was really delicious. I highly recommend it. There's a river right in front of the market, so it was nice to go see the market and the river!

During my trip to Danyang, I happened to stop by on a market day, and it was much bigger and more lively than I thought, so it was fun to look around. The first thing that caught my eye was garlic, a specialty of Danyang! Large garlics were being sold all over the market, and there were a lot of foods with garlic in them. In particular, the garlic tteokgalbi was so visually appealing that I couldn't just pass it up, so I took a bite, and the savory taste of garlic filled my mouth, so it was so delicious. I couldn't miss out on street food either! I bought some bindae-tteok and shared them with everyone while looking around the market, and thanks to the generous hospitality, my stomach was full. Thanks to the market day that I had chosen during my trip, I felt unexpected small happiness 🩷

This thing is so good, I will go there again next time!!!

It's an old market with a complete range of goods. I visit it often.

If you come to Danyang, this is a place you must visit before going to your accommodation! You may have to wait in a long line for a famous restaurant, but the taste is the same, so if you want to save time, you can buy it at a place where there is no line~ The downside is that the food is mainly composed of local specialties, so there are not many choices!
