Quiet, half modern, half hanok cafe with beautiful sea views. Outdoor and indoor seating. The seasonal strawberry latte and pastries were delicious, as was the hot apple cinnamon tea (quite sweet, but just right for my taste!).

Each of the sea view cafes on Jeju Island has its own characteristics. The cafe I’d like to introduce to you today is "해지개" on the beach of Aewol Handan. 해지개 means the place where the sun sets. No matter what season it is, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in the cafe. Walking north along the coast from Aewol's most famous "Spring Cafe BOMNAL", you will first pass the white cafe "Jimbaran Beach" (짐바란비치), and then walk forward to see the orange building "해지개". The palm trees, sandy beaches and thatched parasols in the outdoor area of ​​the cafe are very exotic and full of holiday feeling. The view from the second floor is also very good. I arrived early, and although the outdoor area was almost full, there were not many guests indoors, so you can choose your favorite seats. There is a large square table commonly seen in Korean dramas on the top floor. When the sunlight is not strong in the evening, it must be very comfortable to sit here, enjoy the breeze and watch the sunset. 《해지개》is a bakery and cafe with professional bakers making bread. There are about thirty kinds of bread on the long table with various sweetness levels, making it difficult to choose. I want to try every kind of bread! The sea view cafe "해지개" was only opened in December 2022. It has a charming sea view, textured decoration, and the drinks and bread are also of high quality. No wonder it became a popular check-in shop for Internet celebrities shortly after its opening. We ordered an iced Americano and a latte, both were excellent and worth a try! 2. Haejigae This place blends Hawaiian style with classic Korean ambiance for a truly unique atmosphere! The outdoor seating is incredibly popular, making it a great place for photo ops! There's a huge selection of desserts, and we tried several small breads and cakes, all of which were delicious! 3. Lazy-Pump This is the internet-famous cafe with large glass windows! We ordered a few sodas, which were pretty average. 👗Outfit Tips: Dresses are more photogenic than pants! Remember to bring a straw bag and sunglasses for photo props! 🚌Transportation Tips: We recommend hiring a car or taxi. Bus No. 202 can also get you there, but it's a bit more of a detour. As the sun sets, I stroll to Haejigae Cafe in Jeju Island. The name means "place of sunset", and it really lives up to its reputation. Pushing the door in, I was greeted by a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside the window, the waves gently hit Handam Beach, and the orange-gold halo sprinkled on the sea surface, as if time had stopped here. The cafe is designed in a traditional Korean house, with wooden beams and glass interwoven, and the interior is warm and elegant, revealing a quiet Zen feeling. I ordered a cup of black sesame latte, which was fragrant and slightly sweet, paired with freshly baked orange croissant, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, leaving a lingering fragrance on the lips and teeth. Sitting on the second floor, looking out the window, the windmill in the distance slowly turned in the sea breeze, which was refreshing. The cafe is located in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, about 25 minutes' drive from Jeju Airport. It is open from 9:00 to 21:00 every day. No tickets are required. It is suitable for an afternoon nap or chasing the sunset. It is recommended to visit early because its signature breads such as strawberry brioche and citrus bread are often sold out, and the price starts at about 5,500 won. There is free parking inside the store, which is convenient for self-driving tourists. If you want to take pictures, the outdoor thatched umbrellas and the beach are perfect locations, especially at dusk, the romantic atmosphere is unparalleled. Before leaving, I was blowing the sea breeze on the terrace, feeling the laziness and poetry of Jeju.
