O Forninho Da Afurada

This was our second time here because we loved it so much when we came here first. The second time did not disappoint either. The service is excellent, the food is fresh and really delicious and the portions are really generous, too. We will surely come back here when next time in Porto.

Our meal began with wonderful Portuguese bread and 2 jars-one containing marinated olives with onions, the other marinated octopus to die for! The fresh fish was grilled right out in front of the restaurant. Some outdoor seating if weather permits. Service was good and restaurant was clean.

The food was good (dourada and robalo), but better than the food was the service! The staff was friendly and even lent their iphone charger to my friend who ran out of battery.

They are a real deal for fish grill and dining al fresco on the banks of the Douro river mouth. I can’t get enough of the fresh sardines, grilled octopus and calamari and prawns kebabs. Just spot on!

the staff was very friendly. we ordered the plate of the day, which was a traditional pasta with different kinds of meat (Rancho). for dessert we had passion fruit cheesecake. the food was good, but the taste was different from the traditional dish. the cheesecake was ok. overall today it was a 6/10.
