Matheson Cafe

This restaurant in Mount Cook National Park is definitely worth recommending to everyone. The environment is very good and matches the natural landscape here very well. Moreover, whether it is seafood or lamb chops, they are very delicate and not only look good, but also taste great. It is definitely worth a try.

Lake Matheson, not far from Fox Glacier Town, is also a well-known tourist attraction. It can be reached in about 5 minutes by car. Lake Matheson is a circular trail-style attraction. The Cafe at the entrance is said to be a Michelin one-star. You can have breakfast here or take a break and enjoy the scenery after walking. I didn’t eat their breakfast sandwich, but the clerk recommended this sandwich-like lunch, which was also delicious and the coffee was good.

After strolling by the lake, I came out to have lunch. It was very convenient. It was a beautiful cafe, clean and bright, and the food was good.

The cafe at the entrance of Matheson Mirror Lake Park is great. Seeing the warm light of the cafe and the gently sloping roof echoing the mountains in the background, my heart was intoxicated. Both the scenery and the food here are amazing. Just imagine, eating while enjoying the snow-capped mountains... Photos speak louder than words, salmon noodles. Don't say I didn't recommend it to you. The restaurant also provides snow mountain mineral water for dining guests, just take a cup from below and pour it yourself.

The scenery is great. It's a good time to have a coffee after walking the Mirror Lake Trail.
