Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled great. The staff also worked as a great team to serve and clean up our food.

Le Chamarel Restaurant is located in the middle of Chamarel Mountain in Mauritius.
The natural environment of the restaurant is amazing. It is built on the side of the cliff, with a wide and spectacular view. The restaurant also has a viewing platform for customers, where you can enjoy the mountain view of Chamarel Mountain, as well as the Tamarin coastline and Le Morne Peninsula in the southwest of Mauritius.
However, in a fully open restaurant, there will inevitably be small flying insects, so you have to chase them away while eating... =_=
The most famous ones here are the millionaire salad and the caramel rum coconut ice cream after the meal.
The former is a salad with smoked marlin and white palm core as the main ingredients. The reason why it is called millionaire is that white palm core was too precious in the past and only rich millionaires could afford it. It seems that I am really happy now. Not only can I eat it in Maoqiu&#39;s restaurant, I have also found it in restaurants in Shanghai. I can even sit at home and buy it online to receive a large can of white palm core, although it is not as sweet and tender as Maoqiu&#39;s fresh taste~~

Near the Seven-color Earth Scenic Spot, it happened to be raining so I came in to hide from the rain and have lunch. The restaurant environment is OK, and there is a peacock in the backyard. The Chinese vegetables are delicious and there are vermicelli in it! The grilled shrimp set meal and fish fillet set meal are smaller than those in non-scenic area restaurants, but the taste is OK.

There are two main dishes: chicken rice and fish rice. I ordered fish rice. The taste is average, comparable to airplane food. This dish is the signature dish of the mountaintop restaurant, the millionaire salad. The white one is palm, which is said to take seven years to grow and then be made into a dish, so it is very precious.
