The central market in Riga has loads of food for you to try and they are affordable
can’t recommend enough — riga central market is a must for all the foodies. architecture and history behind it also amazes me.
was walking around and ended up walking around the central market! it was a lovely dag
This is Riga's largest trading market. The market area is particularly large. It mainly sells fresh fish, candy, spices, vegetables, bread and meat. Souvenirs are relatively small, and customers are basically local people. But the local food here is very delicious, especially the cheese they make. It's really very fragrant and tastes very good.
If you like to go to the market and buy fresh fruits to comfort your stomach while traveling and understand the life of the local people, the central market is the best choice. The big warehouses where airships were placed were seafood, fruits and vegetables, meat and supermarkets. Every time I went to the seafood market, I would visit them. Although we could not buy them and take them home, it was also enjoyable just to watch the young vendors decompose a salmon neatly into various items for sale. Open-air fruit stalls, cut flowers and potted plants, fresh vegetables, people would like to immediately start retirement in this city, come here every morning, take a bouquet of flowers with fresh ingredients home to play.
Riga Central Market is a magical place. A vegetable market was listed as a World Cultural Heritage together with the Old Town of Riga in 1997, which shows its extraordinaryness. The market used to be the hangar of five German Zeppelin airships. Now it sells all kinds of goods. Of course, we basically just strolled around and didn't dare to bargain even when buying some fruits.
It was a small European country that used to be part of the Soviet Union. Later, when the Soviet Union disintegrated, the three Baltic States, Lithuania and Estonia, which were close to the three Baltic States, emerged.
Fruit is much cheaper than other countries in Europe. Cherries, in particular, are big, sweet and cheap. It's also good to have vegetables thinned. There are too many salmon in the fish market and all kinds of fisheye chaos. The flowers in the flower market are very beautiful.
