During my visit to Hashem Restaurant in Downtown Amman, I ordered most of the dishes available on the menu&mdash;and every single one of them was absolutely delicious.Hashem is one of the oldest and most iconic restaurants in Amman, located in the heart of the city&rsquo;s historic downtown. The atmosphere is simple, traditional, and full of heritage, giving you a true taste of local life.The portions were generous&mdash;food enough for 6 people cost only around $14, which makes it not only tasty but also incredibly affordable.If you&rsquo;re visiting Amman, Hashem is a must-try experience. [Location] In the center of Rainbow Street, there is a small square next to it. Go down the steps next to the movenpick ice cream shop, and you will find a different world.
[Environment] You can see the night view of Castle Hill outside, and the decoration inside is also very charming.
[Service] A friend had a birthday during the trip, so I came here to discuss the menu and arrangements. The boss received me very warmly and patiently. He showed me pictures of each Jordanian food and told me the ingredients and methods. Because this was our first formal meal in Jordan, the boss customized an appetizer platter for us, and selected a few special main dishes to form a set meal for us.
I was especially grateful that he also went to the dessert shop to customize a Jordanian cake, prepared flaming candles, and selected birthday songs in Chinese, Arabic, and English. I was very moved.

No. 4 of Restaurants for Views & Experiences in Amman

The restaurant is located on Rainbow Street, which is said to be a relatively modern and famous street in Amman with a young audience. I think it is similar to Tianzifang in Shanghai. We arrived at Rainbow Street in the evening. The first impression was indeed as described, and we felt the youthful atmosphere of modern society. While walking and looking for food, we saw this restaurant located on the corner, surrounded by red apricots and dense trees (at first I didn&#39;t know it was a place to eat). The restaurant&#39;s sign is next to the street lamp, also hidden in the trees. When we walked in, the environment at the gate was quite petty bourgeoisie. When we walked to the stairs inside and looked down, we were amazed by everyone. This is the most beautiful dress I have seen since I came to Jordan. I couldn&#39;t help but exclaim. [Color] It took a lot of time to study the menu. In addition, there were many people. From sunset to ordering until the sky was completely dark, we finally decided on the staple food. Compared with the countless cuisines in Greater China, Jordan&#39;s food is very simple. Due to the geographical climate, the food here is more similar to that in northern my country, with mostly pasta and few vegetables and fruits. The staple food is a bread like Xinjiang&#39;s naan. Tear the bread in the middle and divide it into two halves, add various vegetables inside, and take a few bites, and you can finish it in one meal.
We are foreigners who don&#39;t know how to eat, so we still eat the vegetables and the bread. The food is not bad, especially when I meet someone like me who likes to eat grass. I basically clear all the grass that comes up~ Various unknown grasses are very fresh, mostly mixed with tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., poured with goat cheese or local special sauces. The overall taste is actually good, and I personally can still accept it.
The meat is basically sausages, cut into pieces, slices, and strips, with potato cubes, some spicy, or roasted tomatoes. The meat will be more tender than expected, and the umami taste is stronger than the phenomenon.
The most popular one is the roast chicken bibimbap (let&#39;s call it that for the time being), and I ordered two plates and finished them all. The rice was fried just right, very chewy, and had a bit of Thai rice texture.
I didn&#39;t try the desserts, because a few plates of grass had completely knocked me out...

Habibahsweets is a very famous Arabic dessert shop in Amman. The Arabic curry buns and pancakes made here are very delicious. Both locals and tourists patronize this shop, and the business is very good.

[Location] On the busiest main street in downtown. A small alley, full of people, that&#39;s it.
[Environment] A roadside stall, only a few tables are indoors, most of them are placed outdoors. A big pot, constantly frying meatballs. The two long tables on the left and right of the door are probably prepared for the team.
[Service] Jordanian slow and chaotic. No one can be found to take orders, everyone is busy, but I don&#39;t know where the efficiency is. Waiters come in and out, some take a lot of salads at a time, and some hold more than a dozen cups of sweet tea.
[Price] Super cheap. A salad, a meatball, a hummus, two pancakes, a can of Coke, 2.5jd, it is estimated that the Coke accounts for almost half.
[Taste] The meatballs are very special, no wonder the king also comes to eat. There are mint leaves in the salad, which are also very different when rolled in the pancake.
