M25***40Very close to the main tourist attractions but still off the beaten path, in a small alley (very pretty alley). Cute little houses, simple but typical neighborhood. Mostly locals, but they still have an English menu (only speaks Japanese though). Staff is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend trying the Oyako-Donburi (egg and chicken on rice), it's really delicious, but also recommend the soba noodle soup which is delicious. Very simple food but good, perfect for a small lunch. If you want to try simple local food in an out of the way place this is the place to go!

The locals recommended this small shop. The environment is very ordinary. There is no seat because of the busy business. However, the food was served very quickly. The barbecue rice is really delicious. The portion is not big and it is just right with the miso soup.
Parent-child Well, it's really great! We happened to be near this store today and saw people queuing up. Then we looked at the reviews and found out that it's the signature dish of Parent-child Well, which has been around for a century. It's surprisingly delicious. 1010 for a bowl, add 150 for a large bowl. But the large bowl doesn't look that big. It's really delicious, and my 2-year-old baby can't stop eating it. It's very close to Hanami-koji, so you can stop by to eat on your way to Hanami-koji.
After leaving Kiyomizu-dera Temple, I walked into this small restaurant and ordered the signature Oyako Donburi. Overall, it wasn't a very good experience. But the taste is very soft and smooth, the sauce is salty and sweet, and the meat is very tender. It is worth recommending!
A small shop recommended by locals, the food is delicious, the environment is average
