A shop selling all kinds of snacks. Many people come to buy some as snacks or as souvenirs for friends. Their favorite is the small puffs with rich cream inside.

The name of Ryukyu first appeared during the reign of Emperor Yang of Sui. In 570 AD, Emperor Yang of Sui ordered the cavalry general Zhu Kuan to go out to sea. When Zhu Kuan arrived at the Ryukyu Islands, he saw that the Ryukyu Islands were floating on the water like a little dragon, so he named the islands Liuqiu
(qiu). In the Tang Dynasty, because the word Qiu means little dragon, in order to avoid the emperor&#39;s name, it was changed to Liuqiu. Later, in the fifth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, that is, in 1372, Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang believed that the Ryukyu Islands were pearls on the sea, as beautiful as glass jade, so he changed Liuqiu to Ryukyu, and the name of the Ryukyu Islands officially appeared in history books.
In the first month of 1372 (the fifth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty), Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang sent Yang Zai to issue an edict to Ryukyu. The following year, Ryukyu officially became a vassal of the Ming Dynasty. From then on, the succession of the kings of Ryukyu had to be conferred by the Chinese court before they could be recognized by the people on the island.
