Hakata Gion Tetsunabe

We went for dinner around 7:15pm on a Thursday night when it was pouring rain. Saw some people outside and was worried there would be a wait, but there was no wait. We were seated right away. The place was packed with locals, which is always a good sign. Hakata Gion Tezuka was one of the first restaurants to offer Teshimeji gyoza, which are basically dumplings in a round pan. For the two of us, we got 3 orders of 8 pieces each for 500 yen each. So it was 24 pieces for 1500 yen.

Although this restaurant is small, the private environment is quite good, and there are curtains outside each cubicle. I ordered a few ordinary set meals. The beef tongue and everything are quite delicious. It seems that Japanese people also like to eat offal.

It's also a small place. Although dumplings are their specialty, they are fried dumplings. But in fact, many dumplings in China are much more delicious than this. We also ordered other dishes, and the beef was good.

A small place in Japan, someone told me it was the countryside, well, whatever! Someone drooled as soon as the beef in the Sukiyaki pot came up, if it wasn't for the fact that it can't be eaten raw, I would have swallowed it! The grilled wagyu beef is really great, the texture is unbeatable! A little bit of sauce, great!

This is a restaurant with a very nice environment. They serve traditional Kaiseki cuisine, but there are also some dishes like sushi and sashimi. You can order items a la carte or as a set meal. I suggest ordering a set meal for two people, which is more cost-effective and the service is also very good.
