Osteria Baccano Restaurant

I am a returning customer. I found so good the menu that I decided to return. It's an unformal restaurant with a good variety of dishes at a good prices. Recommended!!

This restaurant offers a welcome opportunity to taste the specialties of San Gimignano. It became rich for being "the city of saffron" and saffron was its gold. I had an exceptional pasta (pici) with saffron and black truffles (another specialty) and my wife had rice with saffron and cinta senese (a local pig ragout). But everything was good and very much local.

Arrived early for our booking & shown to our table . We were the only guests so it was lovely & quiet inside . Bread & water arrived the we ordered & asked if we could omit mushrooms which was no problem . Requested a small portion as hate food waste. Food was delicious & still a huge portion of pasta . Hubby had pizza which was a bit over fired as crust was tough to cut but again delicious . Great value & well worth a visit

One has to try the bistecca Fiorintina, a great Toscan t-none steak cooked perfectly. Service is kind and gently, a true old school hosteria located in the old city centre of San Gimignano

Absolutely superb meal in a gorgeous location. Beautiful service and a wonderful evening.
