Trapizzino | Testaccio

Somo Restaurant is a unique Japanese restaurant in Rome. The chef here is a chef with many years of experience in Osaka, so the dishes he makes can be considered very authentic.

Excellent food,  ordered carbonara, Coniglio alla cacciatora, straccetti di semplici, and a custard based dessert.  Really excellent quality, but for me, the rabbit was sublime!   My daughter said the dessert was the best shed ever had!   Service was very quick but we got there just  before 8, and then it quickly filled up.  You know you&#39;re at a good restaurant when 90% of the diners are Italian.   One piece of advice, if you want to drink out of wine glasses, order a bottle of wine.  The house red was very nice, but the wine glasses only come when a bottle is ordered because too many glasses get broken.   I hope to visit this restaurant again soon.

excellent service by waiter. asked for a variety of local appetizers and wine. waiter delivered a great variety of local Roman dishes.

Our server was friendly and the food was delicious! The homemade meatballs and the gnocchi were both fantastic. We also tried the Nutella filled dough for dessert and they were the perfect ending.

Since the first time in 2018 and many times after that this restaurant is an excellent place to have a good dinner when travelling to Rome. Good food and friendly people!

Small space, the kitchen is full of various hams, bacon and cheese platter is recommended, told us to eat from left to right, a glass of white wine, plus a mushroom meal, a wonderful meal, worth recommending, this place is cute, small and exquisite, quiet and romantic. The owner&#39;s explanation and introduction of the dishes are very good. The wine is delicious, and the cheese is also delicious! We will definitely come again next time!
