La Locanda Pontedera

What a great place to eat. Service was really good and the the food was perfect. We known La Locanda from their pop-up restaurant over the summer period near the river/parking area. Will be back!

Leaving aside the area, the place is furnished with excellent taste, even if you have to love the genre, perfect atmosphere, not too muffled, not too noisy or cheerful. Exquisite courtesy of the owner and all the staff. The most important thing, the philosophy of treatment of the raw material, old fashioned, and the raw material itself, excellent meat and above all the right color, an indication of breeding not at the limits of tolerable as often happens. Everything excellent, good choice of wines and putting on the menu the original version, made by them, of the Barozzi cake, moist enough and never dry, well done. A special mention for the roast beef, truly worthy of all the attention, not the usual undercooked roast that practically everyone serves as such, but a skillful cooking in a pan, which cooks only the few millimeters of the outside to retain the fantastic juices of a ruby-colored meat with a full and satisfying flavor, velvety on the palate. A great pleasure.

Simple and clean place, excellent service and very nice and kind owners. The food was excellent, we took the house platter and grilled fillet... everything was delicious 😊

FABULO SO ! The meat is delicious, never found it like this. No queue add anything else to perfection. An excellent choice of wines, personally curated by the owner who is a true expert and enthusiast who can advise you and with whom you could spend hours talking about wines, vines, methods ... truly a well of knowledge. The place is very well cared for, you feel welcomed and pampered / cared for throughout the dinner, without intrusiveness but with so much attention and kindness. Truly a great restaurant where you can spend a nice evening eating very well. Indeed ... an Inn! See you soon, we will be back

An excellent combination of quality raw materials, taste and tradition. Not least very kind staff and fast service. The fillet with green pepper is exceptional, we will return to try the highlight, the cockerel.
