Restaurant Il Sangallo

Since I was staying at the Sangallo Palace Hotel I decided to try their restaurant. It was a good choice! My main course, fillet of pork in a pepper sauce,was very good, as were the accompanying grilled vegetables. Service was pleasant and efficient.

Excellent cuisine, wine and service. Quiet, reserved dining atmosphere with attentive, professional, courteous staff. Breakfast buffet was generous and varied with sweet and savoury offerings.

Hotel restaurants are seldom cosy and attractive and the Sangallo makes no exception, with a plain ambiance that borders canteen level. However, the food is good even if rather simple, the portions generous and fairly priced. The waiter was kind but prone to forget the orders, which had to be reminded. Not a bad experience but I would not repeat it
