On January 28th, I went on a self-guided tour of Dublin. I found this hotel for my first meal after landing. As I did not make a reservation in advance, I could only have a small table at the door. Fortunately, the waitress changed the table for me. I ordered a seafood platter. Except for the caviar which was average in taste, everything else was delicious. The spaghetti was superb. The soup was the most recommended. It was a very good dinner.

A great seafood restaurant in Dublin. I ordered cheese baked lobster and salt and pepper mussels. The Baileys coffee was good. Baileys was added to the coffee. It was my first time to drink it and it tasted good without any smell of alcohol.

For my last meal in Ireland, I chose this old seafood restaurant. I booked a seat at 8:30, but I was back in the city before 7 o'clock. I walked over in advance and there was a seat. I ordered half a dozen oysters from the North Coast and West Coast. The West Coast oysters were plump and small, while the North Coast oysters were bigger, but slightly less fresh and sweet. Mr. Wang's main dish was crab claws, which was very good. It was rare that it was not salty. The soup was super fresh and perfect for dipping in fried bread slices. My catch of the day was cod, served with rosemary and sweet peas. The cooking was good, but the fish was average. It was hake with a relatively dry meat, not cod, which I wanted to taste better. The waitresses were all very sweet, and the wine list was also very nice.

Galway oysters should be wild oysters from Galway, Ireland. They are not big but sweet. They cost 28.5 euros per dozen, which is slightly more expensive than ordinary oysters at 25 euros. Wild crabs are available in the sandwich and salad area. The cooking method seems similar. The crab shell is filled with salad mixed with crab meat. Occasionally there are crab legs and shells. Be careful not to break your teeth when eating. The vegetable soup is good. It is crushed into a paste in a traditional European food processor. It is hot, so eat it slowly.
