Batan Waru

The crispy duck made me so hungry. I wanted to eat crispy and numb meat, the kind that I couldn’t wait for a moment... I went to kafe for dinner, and their crispy scallion chicken was the only thing I could think of that fits this taste.

I went to Kafe Batan Waru last night. It was ok. The service charge was a bit high, plus the tax was more than 20%. Compared with the price here. I still don't understand why a white rice 🍚 has to be made like a tower of incense. It feels weird. ​

Satay has a very Southeast Asian flavor and a unique taste. The fish fried in butter is delicious. The fish is also well prepared and the heat is well controlled. The oxtail soup is also a very good dish.

Recommended as a resting place after a tiring trip in Ubud. The dining environment is quiet in a bustling place, combining Western petty bourgeoisie style with local decoration style, and the service of the waiter is very enthusiastic. The cuisine is a combination of Indonesian and Western food, and the price is quite satisfactory. I strongly recommend the snacks Otak-Otak (a famous local snack grilled fish cake), Balinese coffee, and fried bananas (5-star recommendation!) Crispy hot bananas, charred on the outside and tender on the inside, with a hint of heat and the coolness of ice cream to fully enjoy the multiple layers of taste in the mouth. The taste of hamburgers and satay is mediocre, and the fried noodles taste sweet.

On the way to Kuta Beach, there is a nicely decorated restaurant on the underground first floor of a shopping mall. It serves local Indonesian cuisine and is recommended by TripAdvisor. However, I was cheated by TripAdvisor many times, so I was a little scared... I didn't expect it to taste good. The dishes I ordered were all delicious, with a spicy and sour taste. The avocado milkshake from Bali is delicious, and it is a must-try at every restaurant. There are pictures when you order, so you don't have to guess.

This restaurant is next to Lippo Mall Kuta. It is recommended on Tripadivsor and ranked high, so we chose this restaurant. The layout of the restaurant is quite good, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It feels very comfortable to see this restaurant from the street. We were very confused after looking at the menu of the restaurant. There are too many Indonesian and Western dishes to choose from. Later, we chose Indonesian fried rice, grilled skewers and seafood pasta, which are must-eats in Bali. We also ordered a bottle of Bali Hai beer and Mix juice, which made us very full. Indonesian food, Sate Campur, grilled skewers, this is delicious! But I didn’t expect that this grilled skewers also come with rice! I suddenly felt that we ordered one more staple food. The seafood pasta has a lot of big shrimps and plenty of ingredients. I give this pasta a full score, it’s delicious.
