Brei&eth;a Bay is located in the bay north of Stykkisholmur, with a coastline of 125km and countless small islands. It is connected to the Sn&aelig;fellsnes Peninsula in the south, the Westfjords Peninsula in the north, and the Atlantic Ocean in the west.
