This restaurant located in the small Icelandic town of Egilsstadir is very famous throughout Iceland. It is an independent wooden villa by the sea. The lamb chops here are very delicious, without any lamb smell. The cooking with seasonings is really delicious. You must definitely make a special trip to try it.

The hotel lobby bar has a happy hour from 5 to 7 pm, with half-price drinks. The restaurant starts serving dinner at 6 pm.

Two appetizers: one is a game platter, with smoked seabird, reindeer, and goose slices, very fragrant, without any fishy smell. The other is fish and chips, which completely overturned my aversion to British fish and chips.
