水漫三楼Located in Zhenjiang, the hotel front desk staff recommended a pot-lid noodle restaurant that is loved by locals. It opens early at 5 o'clock. The shop is relatively simple, and there are already a few customers coming in early. Accompanied by the rumbling exhaust fan, the steaming braised beef pot-lid noodles were quickly served, accompanied by braised pork and shredded ginger. The noodles are red soup with heavy green, fresh and slightly salty, with a lot of beef, and the shredded ginger accompanying the braised pork can be regarded as the finishing touch.

A very popular noodle shop, open from morning to 2pm, serving pot lid noodles with Zhenjiang characteristics. I especially admire the cashier and the ladies below, who have super memories. There are no paper orders, and they only rely on word of mouth. With so many varieties to choose from, they can't make mistakes. The noodles are large in quantity and taste great, highly recommended.
After visiting Beigushan Scenic Area, we wanted to try some local specialties. As a result, under the enthusiastic recommendation of several local uncles and aunts, we took a few bus stops and walked more than a hundred meters to find this noodle restaurant. We had a bowl of long fish noodles and a friend had a bowl of braised beef noodles with a piece of pork. There was a lot of noodles, and a small piece of pork was 5 yuan, which was a bit expensive. There were many people but it was not crowded. The boss was busy collecting money while putting ingredients and grabbing noodles, which was not very hygienic. The taste was average and it didn't look good.
I got off the train early in the morning and took the bus to have breakfast. I ordered a pot-covered noodle with long fish and pork intestines and a portion of braised pork. The pot-covered noodles were generous in size, the pork intestines were well-cooked, and with a little chili sauce, it was very satisfying. I just felt that there was a bit too much MSG, and I felt thirsty while eating.
The price is affordable and it is a dining place for nearby residents. You have to queue up to buy noodles, but the taste is delicious. Even if the environment is bad, there are still crowds of people. Red soup noodles, poured with fragrant vinegar, and paired with flavorful braised meat, you can taste all three wonders of Zhenjiang.
