On the way back to Guangzhou from Guilin, I passed by the sign of Huangyao Ancient Town, so I just turned around and went to the ancient town. The car can be driven to the streets of the ancient town, but the streets are crowded and there is no way to park, so I simply parked in front of the ancient town restaurant, came back after shopping, and had lunch casually. The restaurant is not big, with calligraphy and paintings hanging on the wall, and there are several private rooms on the second floor. The dishes are Hakka style. I chatted with the boss and learned that because it is close to Guangdong, the food tastes in this area are mostly Hakka dishes, and everyone can speak Cantonese. The price of the dishes is not expensive, and the store owner is casual and does not force you.

从桂林回广州，途经黄姚古镇的指示牌，索性车头一转，去古镇看看。车子可以开到古镇街上，街上熙熙攘攘，没办法停车，干脆停车在古镇酒家门口，逛完回来，随便吃个中饭。店子不算大，悬挂了字画，二楼有若干包厢，菜是客家风味，与老板闲聊得知，因为离广东近，这一带的饮食口味多为客家菜，而且都能说粤语。菜价不贵，店家随性，并不强求。

Basically every restaurant has black bean chicken and pumpkin flower stuffing. Mengjingyuan Restaurant is a restaurant on the commercial street next to Huangyao Ancient Town. It is relatively large in scale and has good business. Many tourists come here to eat. The signature stuffed tofu is worth a try. The tofu is delicate and the meat filling is delicious. The fried fish is wild fish, crispy and delicious. The overall price is also reasonable, which is relatively affordable in the scenic area.
