Coming down the highway toward Ping'an Grassland, passing through Zhangjiachuan County, you'll find the Zhangjiachuan Museum. The Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County Museum, located at No. 6 Binhe West Road, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, is one of the fifth batch of National Second-Class Museums (designated in 2024) and the latest National Second-Class Museum we visited in Tianshui, following the Maiji District Museum. Unfortunately, the first-floor exhibition hall is currently undergoing renovations, and the basic exhibits are temporarily closed. Not far from the Zhangjiachuan County Museum, in the Zhangjiachuan Hui Ethnic Culture Park, is the Zhangjiachuan County Majiayuan Chariot Museum, which is also part of the Zhangjiachuan County Museum. The Majiayuan Ruins are one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 21st century. Among the 3,600 artifacts unearthed, the horse-drawn chariot is the most representative. The Majiayuan Chariot Museum, based on these unearthed artifacts, has reconstructed and displayed over 20 full-scale and quarter-scale vehicles to explore early Chinese chariot manufacturing technology and chariot usage etiquette. The restored chariots are truly stunning. It's hard to believe that a 2,300-year-old chariot could have achieved such a high level of craftsmanship. Archaeology is no joke; matters of this field are best explained by experts! #MuseumWonderfulWandering #NicheDiscovery #GansuTourism
