We went up Wushan from Taiping Town, Zhao'an. This restaurant is the only restaurant at the foot of Hongqi Rock in Wushan. However, many villagers set up simple sheds to sell some snacks such as turnip cakes and grass cakes. There are also several spots selling loquat flower water along the way, 3 yuan a cup. In fact, you don't need to bring too much water. It's a food stall type at meal time. You can order a single dish or a set meal arranged by the hotel. The starting price is more than 200 yuan. Hakka dishes are salty. It's okay. There are 30 kilometers of mountain roads from Taiping Town to Wushan. I'm really afraid of eating the food in the car~~~~~, it's okay.

It's free admission and a pet-friendly destination! It's truly one of the few pet-friendly destinations in Fujian, yet even Zhangzhou's cultural tourism industry doesn't promote it often. The drive from Xiamen is about two hours, and from Zhangzhou it's an hour and a half! ⛰️The mountain is named Wushan for its jet-black color. It possesses the grandeur of Mount Tai, the breathtaking Yanyun of Mount Heng, and the coolness of Mount Emei. Known as the "Southeast's Greatest Rock," Wushan boasts a Dragon Bed Rock that can accommodate 2,000 people, and natural caves formed from stacked boulders. The area is filled with cliffs, natural tunnels, deep valleys, deep caves, and overlapping peaks, creating a maze-like experience. 🚩This was once the headquarters of the Southern Fujian Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China. It holds historical significance as a sacred site of the Red Revolution. Surrounded by steep cliffs, it exudes the aura of "one man guarding the pass, ten thousand men unable to break through." Transportation ✅ Location: Red Army Hotel (Home of the Wushan Guerrillas in Yunxiao County). Parking is available at the entrance to Wushan. ✅ Drive or take a taxi; parking is free. ✅ Time: Approximately 2 hours from Xiamen. Tickets 🆓 Free admission! ✅ Pet-friendly; dogs of all sizes are welcome. Directions and Photo Spots ✅ Wushan is 1,050 meters above sea level. After reaching Red Flag Rock, continue right. Travelers can choose to ascend the left, check in at Red Flag Rock, and then return the same way. The total travel time is 4 hours. ✅ I personally recommend ascending the left, which is the secret passageway. Those with less stamina should return the same way after reaching Red Flag Rock. The first half of the climb consists primarily of natural stone tunnels, passing through layers of valleys. The terrain is mostly flat and very dog-friendly, with a narrow gap in the sky. The dog had a great time leading the way, and the photos were fantastic. Wushan Mountain in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, is a two-hour drive away. The road is very rugged, but it is definitely worth visiting. There are steep cliffs and stone caves. You can climb to the top of the mountain and see the small mountains. The scenic spot is free. After climbing the mountain, you can eat at the Red Army Restaurant at the foot of the mountain. It is delicious and affordable.
