Yongtai Wutong boasts beautiful scenery, and it takes only about an hour to get there from Fuzhou. Yunlong Restaurant, located in the town, received widespread acclaim after dining there. Treasure Restaurant. The portions are generous, the ingredients are excellent, and the simmered food is rich and robust. The fried braised pig's trotters, fried tofu, and fried fermented pork are cooked to perfection. Large fish from Dazhangxi are steamed, small fish are braised, and pickled bamboo shoots are used to enhance the flavor, resulting in a rich broth perfect for rice. Water spinach is stir-fried with pear mushrooms (grown under pear trees), and shiitake mushrooms (a Yongtai specialty) are cooked on the side. Mushroom duck soup, bean slice soup, and bamboo clam soup are all refreshing or delicious!
