The taste was so-so, but the 138 yuan local goose was not a whole goose or even half a goose, but a hodgepodge of different parts, which was not worth it at all. The service was also poor, with the food taking a very long time to arrive!

I never imagined I&#39;d stumble upon a hidden gem of an ancient town while dining in Yixing! I originally went for the farmhouse cuisine at Shilangfu, but was completely blown away by the Yulongtan Ming and Qing Ancient Town next door.

This place is truly worth a special trip! The braised pork is tender and flavorful, the chicken broth is golden and translucent, and even the simplest stir-fried vegetables are fragrant. Especially dining in the quaint courtyard feels like stepping back into the Ming and Qing dynasties. I recommend visiting during off-peak hours, as it&#39;s incredibly popular during mealtimes!

What a surprise I found while strolling after dinner! The ancient town retains a complete collection of Ming and Qing architecture. The bluestone pavements and white walls and black tiles create a charming atmosphere. Best of all, there aren&#39;t many tourists, so you can take your time taking photos without the crowds. It was a sunny day when we visited, and the sunlight filtered through the gaps between the ancient trees onto the eaves, creating stunning photos.

Tips:
1️⃣ There&#39;s no entrance fee to the ancient town, but some of the residences require separate tickets.
2️⃣ Every farmhouse dish at Shilang Mansion is delicious, and the portions are generous.
3️⃣ The light between 4 and 5 pm is perfect for photographing the ancient town&#39;s architecture.
4️⃣ It&#39;s only a 10-minute drive from Zhanggong Cave Scenic Area, so you can plan a trip together.
