There were beer fish everywhere in Yangshuo 😅😅😅, so I played it safe and chose the one with the most chain restaurants. The beer fish was quite delicious, with very tender meat. The waitress recommended soaking rice in the beer fish broth, which was a perfect sour and sweet dish, perfect with rice. ➷Yangshuo Stuffed Snails➹It looks a bit like an apple snail, but upon closer inspection, it's an oversized snail. The waiter recommended the stuffed snails, made with minced pork and snail meat, a local Yangshuo specialty. I tried a few and they were delicious, but a bit too much. ➷ Mugwort cakes➹ taste a bit like qingtuan (a type of glutinous rice dumpling), but with peanuts inside. It's a common habit. Winter travel is affordable, and there aren't many people around, so you can take your time shopping. I was struggling with which beer-baked fish restaurant to try, but I chose a major chain.
