When I arrived at Hailing Island in Yangjiang, I went to look for food near the hotel at night and saw this Xincheng Fishing Village (Poly Silver Beach Store). It is said that this is a time-honored restaurant with a large facade and store. There are a lot of seafood and fresh vegetables at the door for customers to choose from. The store has three floors, with the lobby and fish pond on the first floor. After sitting down, we asked the waiter to bring us the menu. The waiter knew that we didn't intend to eat seafood, so he still asked us to order seafood outside the door. It took several calls to get the recipe. After ordering, there was another long wait. [Fish-flavored eggplant stew] 35 yuan. It's served in a clay pot. The portion is not bad. The eggplant is quite fragrant. It goes well with rice. [White-cut chicken] 38 yuan for half a chicken. The chicken is killed to order. It is very fresh. The quality of the chicken is good, the skin is crisp and the meat is tender. [Salted Squid Cake Pot] 48 yuan This is the restaurant’s signature dish. I wanted to order it when I first saw it. This is because when I was a child, my relatives brought home-pickled salted squid from the countryside. My grandmother chopped up the salted squid and pork and steamed it into meatloaf. It was very delicious. When the food arrived, I found that the method was different. The restaurant minced the salted squid and pork belly and cooked them in an iron pot. They tasted very fragrant and salty. The bill is 146 yuan, and the per capita consumption is less than 50 yuan.

According to locals, Xincheng is a time-honored brand with more than ten years of history, and has opened many branches. Since this Poly Silver Beach store is newly built, the dining environment is still very good. When we arrived, perhaps because it was peak season in August, the restaurant was packed. It was one of the few outside of Guangzhou where you had to wait for a table. Seeing the cuttlefish cakes and sea urchin rice that almost every table had, I felt guaranteed to be satisfied. The waiter also recommended wild grouper and seaweed. After ordering and settling down, I heard the sound of the kitchen stove. I was always anxiously anticipating when my food would arrive, but it was surprisingly quick, and we didn't have to wait at all. I was pleasantly surprised. First, let's talk about the cuttlefish cakes we were most looking forward to. They were absolutely delicious. The sea urchin rice was full of sea urchin, a unique experience unlike what you'd find at a sushi restaurant. The grouper the waiter recommended was also quite good. By the time we left, it was already past 2:00 PM and still packed; business was incredibly strong. We spent over 300 yuan on our meal, and everyone was very satisfied. This was one of the most memorable restaurants of our trip.

Came to Yangjiang with friends and found their restaurant online at noon. It is indeed the most popular restaurant nearby. Compared with nearby restaurants, their decoration is very good and looks very clean. The waiters are also very enthusiastic after entering the door. We ordered a salted fish and eggplant casserole for 38 yuan, a vermicelli casserole for 38 yuan (you can choose minced meat or seafood, I chose minced meat), watercress in soup for 30 yuan, and cuttlefish cakes for 58 yuan for 10, for a total of 196 yuan. The portions were huge, and my family of three couldn't finish them all, so we didn't need to order rice. The vermicelli casserole was so filling.
