The ancient town was discovered by accident. It is about 320 kilometers from Nanjing by car. There was no traffic jam during the National Day holiday. It took three and a half hours to reach Yaowan Ancient Town. However, it took half an hour to find the parking lot of Dalongzhouyi. Later, with the help and guidance of the front desk lady, we successfully arrived at the temporary parking lot by the bridge. After parking, we immediately ran to the boat restaurant. There is a minimum consumption for private rooms during the National Day holiday. This is understandable. As long as the dishes are delicious, nothing else matters. Our group of 8 people must eat 800 yuan. The dishes were served very quickly. The cold and hot dishes were served together in about half an hour. The dishes that are still fresh in my memory: steamed white silk, that is, white fish, collapsed pancakes, braised meat with water chestnuts, fried small fish, Yaowan bacon is especially delicious, and there are many more... In short, I still want to eat after eating, so I had another meal in the evening and ate all the dishes that I didn’t order at noon. There is also the local mung bean liquor, which is delicious and not expensive. Our team bought about 50 kilograms and took it home.

While idly flipping through my photo album, I came across pictures from my trip to Suqian before the Lunar New Year. Luoma Lake is truly vast, stretching as far as the eye can see, like standing on the seashore. The dawn redwoods along the shore give off a chilling aura in winter. However, the weather wasn't good when we went; the wind was very strong, giving us headaches. We saw many people riding speedboats and surfing, but we didn't dare try it. For lunch, we ate at Yaowan Boat Restaurant. It was a bit pricey, and the portions were small, but the dishes were exquisitely prepared. The flavors were a bit too sweet for my liking, but I was happy to try the local specialty, silverfish wrapped in eggs.
