The Gao Qunsheng Hu La Tang main restaurant is located 50 meters southeast of the intersection of Jiaotong Road and Shaying Middle Road in Xihua County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. Gao Qunsheng's Xiaoyao Hu La Tang originated during the reign of Emperor Huizong of Song in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Through centuries of simmering tradition, it has always carried the "Xiaoyao" label. Gao Qunsheng is the inheritor of the Xiaoyao Hu La Tang craft, a Henan provincial intangible cultural heritage, and the 13th generation heir of the Xiaoyao Gao Family Hu La Tang. In April 2003, at the Central Plains Food Culture Festival held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang was recognized as a "Henan Famous Food" by the Henan Culinary Association and the Henan Provincial Trade Industry Management Office. In December 2003, Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang was awarded the "Famous Chinese Snack" title at the China Culinary Association's Chinese Food Culture Festival competition in Shantou, Guangdong. In April 2006, at the Second China Xiaoyao Hu La Tang Festival, Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang was awarded the "Special Prize" by the Henan Cuisine Research Association, the Henan Culinary Association, and the Zhoukou Culinary Association. In June 2010, Gao Qunsheng was recognized by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture as a representative inheritor of the Xiaoyao Hu La Tang craft, a Henan provincial intangible cultural heritage. In November 2011, Gao Qunsheng Hu La Tang Restaurant in Xiaoyao Town, Xihua County, was named a "Henan Famous Halal Restaurant" at the First Henan Halal Food Exhibition and Famous Enterprise, Brand, and Store Selection Event. In 2004, CCTV-7's "Richness" program featured Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang in Xiaoyao Town, generating significant buzz. In 2010, filming began in Xiaoyao Town, with Gao Qunsheng serving as the film's technical director, overseeing the entire production. The film subsequently held its grand premiere at the Great Hall of the People. In 2012, CCTV-2's "Consumer Advocate" program featured Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang, a renowned Chinese snack. In 2015, the People's Daily published an article titled "The People's Favorite 'Imperial Soup,'" about Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang. In 2017, programs such as CCTV-2's "First Time," Henan TV's "Focus on the Central Plains," CCTV-10's "Civilization Code," Ergeng Video, and Henan TV's "A Bite of Henan" visited the Gao Qunsheng Hu La Tang headquarters for special coverage. In 2018, Gao Qunsheng was featured on the third season of CCTV's "A Bite of China," showcasing the Xiaoyao Hu La Tang cooking techniques. In September 2018, Xinhua News Agency's homepage featured "The Taste of Four Seasons - Hu La Tang." At the end of 2018, CCTV-2's "Consumer Advocate" program returned to film an interview with Gao Qunsheng Hu La Tang in Xiaoyao Town. In 2019, Xinhua Daily Telegraph published the story "A bowl of Hu La Tang brings happiness to 100,000 people." In 2019, CCTV-2's programs "Making Money" and "The Business of Delicious Food" visited the restaurant to film and interview Gao Qunsheng's Hu La Tang.
