Wuyi Taste

This is a restaurant frequented by locals. It is far from the scenic spot, so the customers who come here to eat are mainly local families. The menu is mainly based on the dishes prepared by the on-site store. You can order whatever you see. There will be a handsome guy waiting for you to order. They will not charge you just because you are a foreigner. It is a restaurant worth recommending. It is recommended to take the scenic area bus to the north entrance before the bridge is repaired, and then walk there. You can also see locals picking tea on the way. If you want to buy, please ask the price first. It is mainly to buy rock tea, and other things are not recommended. For those who have dinner, you can call Didi to take a taxi back to the hotel.

This is my second time to Wuyi Mountain this summer. I chose Wuyi Taste without hesitation. The boss and his wife are amiable and the dishes are delicious. I tasted the local characteristics of Wuyi Mountain, especially the duck soup and sesame fruit. They were delicious. I also ate the seasonal rice carp. It was great.

Wuyi Taste’s specialty is squid Wuyi dishes. Wuyi cuisine belongs to the northern Fujian cuisine. It is spicy, oily, and strong in flavor. I personally feel that the taste is close to Jiangxi cuisine. The ingredients used more often are river fish, mountain delicacies, poultry and mushrooms. A friend recommended this restaurant to us when we went to Wuyi Mountain, and we were not disappointed. It is highly recommended!

A gathering place for Wuyi specialties at the foot of Wuyi Mountain. All dishes are produced in Wuyi Mountain, fresh and green, fully reflecting the local flavor and characteristics of Fujian cuisine. The restaurant has a simple environment and excellent service, making it the first choice for dining in Wuyi Mountain.

I only go there occasionally, but the food is unexpectedly delicious. The fried mushrooms are so fresh, and there is also a wild vegetable whose name I forgot, which is very delicious and not expensive. I ate it all and highly recommend it.

I stayed at Xipan 72 at the north entrance. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Wuyiwei. I ordered dishes after reading everyone's reviews. The stream fish was particularly delicious, without any fishy smell. There was also fried beef tendon, which was very fragrant and chewy. I also had a plate of fresh bamboo shoots and mushrooms. My husband kept praising them. At the end, I had to eat potato cakes. They were so delicious that the two of us couldn't finish them. It would be more suitable for more people.
