We didn&#39;t arrive in Lujiangba until around 10:00 PM. There weren&#39;t many accommodation options, so we finally booked the Baofeng Business Hotel at the intersection.
The exterior looked okay, but the front desk clearly stated &quot;KTV Open Until 2 AM,&quot; which light sleepers should definitely avoid! The location was fantastic, though, with coffee bean shops all around. Across the street, Suer Coffee processes its beans with exceptional care. Best of all, it was super convenient to get to the Biton Coffee Farm the next day&mdash;a 250-meter walk straight away.

Bringing kids to this place was a real treat! We joined the staff in picking and peeling coffee beans, a process that took about an hour, and we even got a complimentary pot of pour-over coffee. The kids were so engrossed in peeling the beans beneath the coffee trees, watching the red berries transform into coffee beans right before their eyes. It was a hundred times more vivid than reading a picture book! I thought it was a popular check-in spot, but it was surprisingly packed with practical information. Even I learned a lot!
❌Xinzhai Manor (a minor disappointment)
The internet said it was way up the mountain, so I deliberately went there, but I was a bit disappointed... It was more like a coffee shop in a prime location. The food didn&#39;t pique my interest, so I took two photos and left.
🚗Wild Hot Spring Adventure (A Shocking Moment)
The internet said there was a stunning wild hot spring nearby, but I had to ask numerous locals before I found the entrance. It had rained the night before, and the road up the mountain was incredibly narrow and muddy. As I drove, the car started to shake like a boat, with all four wheels coated in mud and skidding terribly! I tried to turn around, but there was no room, and reversing was a mess. On one side was a mountain wall, and on the other was a 40-meter drop to the national highway. My palms were sweating. Luckily, I met two local guys on motorcycles who helped us find our way back to the highway. I still get nervous thinking about it! I strongly advise everyone to avoid such wild roads on rainy days; they are too dangerous!
🌉Longjiang Bridge
I was so scared I lost all my playful energy and headed straight for Tengchong. Passing by the Longjiang Bridge, I was completely blown away! The mountains on both sides were shrouded in mist, and the bridge seemed to be suspended in the clouds. Photos don&#39;t capture the majestic feeling. It truly is a &quot;super project.&quot; I stopped for 10 minutes to take photos and rest.
🍜Tengchong Food Notes
The first thing I did in Tengchong was find something to eat! Eating in Yunnan with kids is a real challenge, as many dishes are spicy. I ended up choosing a simple but incredibly popular place called Lao Nai Shao Pork Rice Noodles. The pork here doesn&#39;t even have the skin on, which is completely different from Cantonese barbecued pork. The freshly grilled pork has an incredible charred aroma, and the rice noodles are slippery, flavorful, and chewy.
🥞Burmese Shababa
My kids can&#39;t handle spicy food, so I found a Burmese Shababa place and became completely addicted! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, the egg aroma reaches my head, and the original flavor is just right, neither sweet nor greasy. Later, I went to Mangshi and found several other places, but none of them were as amazing as this one. It turns out that foodies&#39; fate depends on chance encounters.
