#美食迅味会 I can honestly say this is a hidden gem! I'll definitely be back countless times! 🤭 🌟Environment It was so crowded, but it was very clean, and there was a waiting area. 🌟Service The waitresses were so welcoming and friendly. They wouldn't ask you to refill your water. They even gave us watermelon and snacks, which was so nice. 😃Every waitress was so happy and smiling, and they asked customers about their taste. They really do strive to improve the taste of their dishes. 🌟Food ✔️Stone Pot Fresh Shrimp and Tender Tofu Pudding The tofu pudding was incredibly tender and flavorful, with shrimp in it. We were already devouring it before all the other dishes were even served. ✔️Old Taiyuan Fried Pork It's honestly the best fried pork I've ever had. I usually can't eat meat, but this wasn't greasy at all. ✔️Vegetarian Three-Season Buns The leek buns were truly delicious. ✔️Toona sinensis sprouts and black bean curd sheets The toona sinensis flavor was strong and delicious. Toona sinensis fans should go for it; it was very satisfying. □ The portions were quite large, so I recommend ordering smaller portions. We left half of our set meal for two and ended up taking it home. 🏠: Tubaozi (Changfeng Street Branch) 📍Wanbailin Qianfeng South Road #RomanticDateRestaurant #LocalDelicacy #TryAnAuthenticOldBranch #LocalSpecialSnacks
Tubaozi is a renowned restaurant in Taiyuan, renowned for its authentic Taiyuan cuisine. Its cooking techniques have even been designated a provincial intangible cultural heritage. Here's a guide to Taiyuan Tubaozi's cuisine: Tubaozi: Choose from a variety of fillings, including braised pork buns, ground vegetable buns, and black pork buns, all freshly made and steamed. The black pork buns are particularly recommended. Made with fermented yeast dough and stuffed with local black pork, they're saturated with the charred aroma of fried Sichuan peppercorn oil. They're round and plump, and even burst with juice when you bite into them. Paired with wood ear mushrooms and other ingredients, they're a perfect accompaniment to rice. Lao Taiyuan Sweet and Sour Meatballs: Crispy on the outside, smothered in a thick sauce, they burst with sour and sweet flavor, making them a favorite with diners. Old Copper Pot: A must-order for almost every table, this dish boasts a rich and delicious broth, including meatballs, roasted pork, day lily, beans, potatoes, and more. Style Yellow Rice: A popular dessert dish for its sticky texture and sweet, glutinous flavor. Wild Vegetable Meatballs: Deep-fried to a golden and crispy golden brown, they may also contain corn kernels for a rich texture and are particularly delicious when paired with a sweet and spicy sauce. Tubaozi is a popular restaurant, and there's usually a line at mealtimes, so it's recommended to arrive early or eat during off-peak hours. West of Changfeng Bridge, there's a local bun shop with a daily line. Their buns are made to order, low in oil and salt. They offer six varieties. Pi Xuanxuan uses natural dough. The lamb buns are a limited-edition, so get them early. The crust is baked to a crispy perfection, but it takes a lot of effort. The steaming copper hot pot features roasted meatballs, crispy pork, roasted tofu, dried beans, and golden needles, reminiscent of childhood New Year's Eve dinners. The plump crystal mushrooms are incredibly comforting, made with potatoes and surprisingly delicious. The beef tripe is thick and delicious when dipped in the broth. The blueberry yam is both healthy and delicious. They also offer porridge and side dishes. They're also available for birthday parties. The atmosphere and private rooms are fantastic, so give this place a try for your next get-together.
