The first meal on Goji Island was booked in advance at the B&B where I stayed. In the afternoon, I played with my two children on the beach by the sea. After returning to the B&B to wash up, I walked around the surrounding food and beverage street and finally decided to have dinner at this fish restaurant. On the first floor, I looked at the real seafood while ordering dishes. There were several large tables on the second floor. In the end, I took the trouble to order a set meal and added some drinks. The seafood at the seaside is fresh, especially the live swimming crabs.
Wolfberry seafood, you can serve it directly after fishing it out

Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai are incredibly hot in the summer! For an escape from the heat, Gouqi Island is the perfect choice. This small island hidden in the East China Sea offers not only refreshing breezes but also stunning ocean views—it's a true summer escape! I've compiled a comprehensive guide, take it! 👇 🚗 Transportation Guide From Shanghai: • Purchase a combined bus and ferry ticket at the Nanpu Bridge Tourist Distribution Center. First, take a bus to Shenjiawan Pier, then transfer to Daishan Ferry No. 9. The journey takes about 4 hours. For a faster trip to the island, take a speedboat, which takes only 1.5 hours. If you're prone to seasickness, remember to pack seasickness medicine and motion sickness patches. From Zhoushan: • Take a ferry from Shenjiamen Pier or a speedboat from Zhujiajian Pier. The journey takes about 2 hours. 🎫 Notes on Ferry Tickets: During peak season, ferry tickets are extremely popular, so be sure to purchase them three days in advance on the "Shengsi Passenger Transport" official account. If you're having trouble getting a ticket, ask your B&B owner to book it for you. 🌅Must-See Attractions Dongya Cliff: China's easternmost spot for stunning sunrise viewing! Standing on the cliff edge, facing the vast Pacific Ocean, depart at 4 a.m. and be completely stunned by the crimson sun rising from the sea, its golden light bathing you in awe. Tickets are 50 yuan and absolutely worth it. No Man's Village: A real-life version of The Wizard of Oz! Abandoned houses covered in layers of ivy create a fairytale world sealed by nature. We recommend purchasing a 50 yuan ticket to descend into the village. With a drone, the panoramic views are breathtaking. Mountain and Sea Wonders: A free attraction! Climb to the top for a panoramic view of Gouqi Island. Watch the sunset beneath the giant rock carving "Mountain and Sea Wonders." Fishing boats, pastures, and the setting sun complement each other, creating a cinematic experience. Dawang Beach: The island's largest beach, with crystal-clear waters where you can see small fish playing. Enjoy the water during the day and gaze at the stars on the beach at night—the ultimate in romance. Tickets are only 25 yuan, a fantastic value. 🍱 Food Recommendations Seafood Noodle Dumplings: A bowl overflowing with shrimp, crab, mussels, and handmade noodles, the broth is so delicious it'll make your eyebrows drop. For only 25 yuan a bowl, a must-try! Scallion Oil Swimming Crab: August to October is when swimming crabs are at their plumpest, with so much roe you can scoop it out and eat it. While the price fluctuates depending on the season, it's definitely worth a try. Conch Sauce Fried Rice: Spicy conch meat is stir-fried and topped with crispy seaweed. Serve with rice—you can't stop eating. It's 20 yuan a portion and incredibly satisfying. For a night food stall, I recommend "Fisherman" near Dawang Beach. Enjoy charcoal-grilled hairtail while enjoying the sea breeze. For just 60 yuan per person, you can enjoy a truly satisfying meal. 🏠Accommodation Recommendations Seaview lovers: Highly recommend the Qianmo Seaview Inn. With its 270-degree glass rooms, you can gaze out at fishing boats and the twinkling stars from your bed – it's truly cozy. However, peak season prices can reach over 800 yuan. Best value: The Longquan Village B&B complex. Open your window to a vast expanse of mussel fields. The price per person is 150 yuan, including breakfast – a steal. Influencer check-in: the Shancheng Villa. Its Santorini-style whitewashed house with an infinity pool is incredibly photogenic, but be sure to book at least two months in advance. ⚠️Notes Ferry ticket tips: To grab tickets during peak season, be sure to set your alarm. Sign up for tickets on the Shengsi Bus official account five days in advance, and they'll open at 7:00 AM sharp! Sunscreen: The island's ultraviolet rays are incredibly strong, and coupled with the sea breeze, sunscreen sleeves, sunglasses, and SPF 50+ sunscreen are essential to avoid sunburn. Blue Tears Alert: May to September is peak season for blue tears. Follow the "Shengsi Tourism" official account for real-time forecasts. The probability of encountering blue tears is highest on humid, southerly winds. Seafood Assassin: Always ask for prices before ordering, and keep an eye on the draining basket when weighing to avoid being ripped off by unscrupulous vendors. Environmental Mission: Never pick up floating balls from the beach; they belong to mussel farmers and you'll be fined. This summer, come to Goji Island and enjoy the cool sea breeze and stunning ocean views!
