tanyh0502I chose Hai Ji for breakfast twice during the three days in Shantou, because the pig blood soup is both appetizing and healthy. Many tourists, like me, came here after watching the TV show "Breakfast China". If you come late, there will be a long queue, so don't sleep in for this delicious bowl of food, hahaha!

|Watercress and Pig's Blood Soup^The first time I heard about watercress, I wanted to try it. It tastes slightly bitter, but it has the effects of clearing dryness and moistening the lungs, clearing heat and relieving coughs, so it's pretty good. |Pig's Blood Pearl Grass^Many people ordered pearl grass, which tasted pretty good. It has the effects of cooling blood and removing dampness, removing blood stasis and improving eyesight. Adding fresh oysters makes the pig's blood soup even more delicious.
Following the footsteps of "Breakfast China", I came to Hai Ji to check out the delicious breakfast in Shantou. The store opened at 6:30 in the morning. The store is not big, but fortunately I went early and sat down directly. | Wolfberry leaf and pig blood soup^ Wolfberry leaf has the effect of nourishing the liver, improving eyesight, and softening blood vessels. I especially like this combination, and fresh shrimps are added. The pig blood is large and delicious, very authentic.
A bowl of pig blood soup and a plate of fried dumplings make a delicious and affordable breakfast.
I'm torn between going to Shantou or Chaozhou first. I recommend Shantou first. Chaozhou, aside from the folklore, is a bit of a mini-Shantou. Transportation: There are many places to rent e-scooters in the city (private ones, not the Didi ones). The city's attractions are all within easy reach, so I highly recommend them. Eat! Shantou: Three Sisters Rice Noodle Rolls: The line was long, but it was worth it! The rice noodles are tender and smooth, and there's a ton of toppings. Hai Ji Pig Blood Soup (Longyanyuan Branch): My mom loves it so much she has a bowl every morning. It's packed with ingredients. Chaoxing White Congee: This is definitely the place. I just grabbed a bite on Longyan Road and was completely blown away! The congee is smooth and thick, and the seafood is super fresh. I love it! The vegetables are stir-fried with lard, which pairs really well with the refreshing congee. A small breakfast place we passed by: Cassava Soy Milk! How could it be so good? Why don't chain dessert shops have cassava? It's so good! Qiaochatang: Better than a cup of Chaocha tea, with a stronger aroma of duck shit and black tea! Weiji Beef: The smell of fresh beef hits you as soon as you enter, giving you the illusion of eating at a beef farm.
