It was such a blessing to visit Shantou! Staying near the MixC Mall made it incredibly convenient for dining and sightseeing. I couldn't be happier with my hotel this time, and I absolutely recommend it! 🏨 Chaoman Lizhi Hotel (Shantou MixC Mall) 📍 No. 34 Dongxia Road This hotel gets a perfect score! The location is fantastic, close to the Longyan South Road food street and a small park. The fully-equipped, smart room is incredibly comfortable, with everything from a smart toilet to a projector. The front desk lady was incredibly helpful, not only providing tips for great rice noodle rolls but also helping with itineraries. The bedding was excellent quality and incredibly comfortable! 🍽️ Axiang Rice Noodle Rolls 📍 Building 17, Meiyuan, Changping Road, opposite Huangge Gongcha You'll have to wait in line to get your fill of rice noodle rolls at this place! Their rice noodle rolls are paper-thin, and the pork and egg rice noodle rolls with their secret sauce are simply amazing. The oysters are huge and fresh, and the beef, tomato, green pepper, and egg rice noodle rolls are also amazing. I recommend arriving by 6 AM, or you'll be waiting in line for ages. 🏮 Shantou Small Park 📍 No. 4 Shengping Road A must-see in Shantou! The fusion of Chinese and Western architecture with arcades is perfect for photo ops, and rainy days are even more captivating. I recommend visiting in the evening when the lights are on, especially beautiful. There are also many unique street food stalls, so it's a delight to eat while walking. [Practical Tips] 1. Shantou has many shared electric bikes; it's recommended to use them for transportation; they're more convenient than taking a taxi. 2. Many rice noodle roll shops only serve brunch, so plan your time accordingly. 3. I was absolutely captivated by this hotel during my visit to Shantou! Chao Shi Ju Qing Ju is right next to the Longyan South Road Food Court at MixC. The location is fantastic, and the rooms are incredibly comfortable! Our trip was perfect, combining authentic local cuisine with sightseeing. 🚶🏻♂️ Itinerary [Top Choice for Accommodation] 🌟 Chao Shi Ju Qing Ju Hotel (No. 2504, Friendship International Building, Jinsha Middle Road) I highly recommend this gem! The rooms are stylishly decorated, and the bedding is so comfortable you won't want to get out of bed. The staff is incredibly attentive, and every visit feels like home. Best of all, the location is perfect, with the food court just downstairs and MixC just a short walk away, so you never have to worry about dining or shopping. [Food + Attractions] 📍 Shantou Small Park (No. 4, Shengping Road, Jinping District) I recommend visiting in the evening! The old-style arcades are stunning in the sunset, creating a retro photo opportunity. It's open 24 hours, so you can go anytime, but it's even more stunning at night when the lights are on! 🍽️A Xiang Rice Noodle Rolls (Block 17, Meiyuan, Changping Road) Be sure to get there early! Their rice noodles are made to order. We ordered the shrimp and egg and beef, tomato, green pepper and egg rice noodles. The skin was thin, the fillings were generous, and the shrimp were extra large! It's right next to the park, so it's super convenient to stop by after a stroll. ✨Tips for the Trip: 1. The king room at Chao Shi Ju has a fantastic view; I recommend a high floor. 2. A Xiang Rice Noodle Rolls closes at 2 PM, so get there early. 3. There are plenty of food stalls near the park, so you can enjoy a bite while strolling. 4. There are tons of milk tea shops on the B1 floor of MixC. Grab a cup to take back to the hotel for a delicious evening treat. I absolutely loved this trip to Shantou. It combines the hustle and bustle of the old city with the convenience of the modern business district. The accommodations were so comfortable that I didn't want to leave!
