This was the worst meal in the Shangri-La trip. The environment was really nice, but there were not many dishes, all of which were small and exquisite. The price of the dishes was high, and it was completely like a celebrity restaurant. There were not many regional characteristics. I don’t recommend it. If four people spent 500 or 600, they wouldn’t be full. If you just want to take pictures, then just drink coffee.

Three days of eating out in Shangri-La, and I recommend adding this to your travel must-try list! 1. [Ama Butter Tea] Around the corner from Dukezong Ancient Town I've been recommended this countless times by locals! The salty butter tea paired with barley cakes is divine! 🔥 Yak yogurt sprinkled with sugar is a hidden gem. Remember to ask for extra milk skin! 2. [Yunzang Restaurant] Alley next to Moonlight Square The yak beef hotpot is incredible! The meat is so generous it's almost unbelievable! 💥 Highly recommended is the matsutake and chicken soup base; it was so delicious I had two bowls! The second-floor terrace even lets you take stunning photos in Tibetan clothing! 📸 3. [Zang Yibei] At the foot of Guishan Park Can't even breathe? Try this Tibetan coffee ☕️ The magical combination of butter coffee and tsampa cake. Watching the pilgrimages from the window of the sweet teahouse is so relaxing! 4. [Snow Mountain Kitchen] Opposite the Songzanlin Temple parking lot Vegetarians rejoice! The Tibetan vegetarian steamed buns with chili dip are incredible 🌶️. The mint fried potatoes were so good I packed three to go! The glass room overlooking the snow-capped mountains is stunning 🏔️ 5 [Jixiang BBQ House] Jiantang East Road Night Market The king of late-night fireworks! The yak skewers are sizzling and fragrant, making you dizzy 😭 The grilled curd balls are sour and sweet, perfect for relieving the greasiness. Perfect with a Fenghuaxueyue beer! ✨Tip: You can order butter tea at all restaurants. Be sure to let the owner know in advance if you prefer sweet or savory dishes. Just looking at the pictures makes you yearn for it 💖. During my visit to Shangri-La, I couldn't wait to have afternoon tea here 😜. The waiter there was incredibly sweet, not only handsome but also incredibly gentle 🤵. While chatting with him, I joked, "So many people online are praising your handsomeness," and he blushed shyly 😳—so cute! This place specializes in both dining and afternoon tea, and our main reason for this trip was to enjoy afternoon tea and take some beautiful photos 📷. I have to say, this Tibetan-style shop is truly unique compared to other coffee shops I've been to ✨. 📸Photography Tips ✅ The interior is beautifully decorated, but the lighting is average, making it less than ideal for portraits. 😔 ✅ The shop has two floors, plus a courtyard, making the outdoor area a perfect spot for photos. 👍 ✅ In the afternoon, be sure to visit the second floor to capture the beautiful Tibetan decorations while the sun shines on your face—it's truly stunning! 🌞 ✅ The entrance is also a great spot for photos.
