The main attraction is the scenic view especially at night. The restaurant can be a bit crowded especially during the evening, but if you have the time you could come earlier and have a chill time drinking at your favorite spot. The food in my opinion is above average but not fantastic. Based on my observation the place is definitely popular among the expatriates, where you see people from various nationalities hanging out and having a good time.

[Environment] I really wanted to see the river view, so I chose this restaurant for a last-minute reservation. The environment is very nice and quiet, but if I could book a terrace earlier, the view would be better. [Taste] The taste is good, the Boston lobster is quite fresh, of course the children are more interested in desserts. As for the steak, maybe I can't taste the fine bran, so I won't comment on it. [Service] The service is very good, lemonade will be served to customers in time, and the appetizers, main dishes and desserts must be specially told to the staff before they are served (I am a little uncomfortable with this, maybe the western restaurants I went to before were not so high-end 😂)

You can have an open-air bar, it's really possible, it's nice to drink beer, eat fast food and chat with friends, but the price is not cheap, about 300 yuan per person, and the food is not as good as Pizza Hut, hahaha. There is no way, it's this consumption

I think the most attractive thing about dining in Shanghai is having dinner on the Bund while looking at the night view of the Huangpu River, just like visiting the Thames when you go to London for the first time. Although it is too much for the locals to see, it is still a pleasant thing to be able to enjoy the night view while eating delicious food. The winners of Restaurant Week booked Pop, a modern American restaurant on the seventh floor of No. 3 The Bund, Shanghai. In fact, I had a French dinner on the fourth floor before, and I felt that POP American restaurant was more relaxed and casual than that. Unlike other Bund restaurants, POP does not enter through the main entrance. Instead, you enter through the side door on Guangdong Road on the Bund. The slightly dim antique elevator goes directly to the 7th floor. The reception hall is connected to the main dining area. The dining area has both outdoor and indoor parts. I know that foreigners and today's "fashionable" people like outdoor dining, but it feels a bit cold to eat outdoors in this weather, and I am a person who only likes warm breezes, so I chose to dine in the warm indoor area. The indoor landscape is also very spacious. Through the fully transparent large glass indoor dining area, you can see the entire Bund complex. The restaurant uses artistic decorations made from a collage of symbolic images of American pop culture to illuminate the elegant restaurant environment, with just the right amount of lighting. After leaving the dining area and passing through the glass hall, there is a bar area. After all, POP is an American restaurant and bar, so its bar is also a highlight, and it offers a wide variety of American whiskeys, bourbons, and various original cocktails. Appetizer bread: The 3 types are different. I like the whole wheat bread with dried fruits, but in comparison, I feel that the appetizer bread on the 4th floor is more flavorful. Appetizer: Crab dumplings are very innovative. The fresh crab meat is blended with the flavors of pickled ginger, mango and chili. It is wrapped in two slices of red radish as thin as a cicada's wing and put into the mouth. There is no fishy smell, but it has a light fruity fragrance and sweetness. I like it! Cream of Chicken and Potato Soup: The waiter pours the cream soup into a warm soup plate with wild mushrooms, potatoes and corn kernels as the base. The addition of foie gras adds a rich taste, and the black truffle adds a finishing touch to the soup. It feels warm and comfortable after drinking it. Pan-fried cod: A thick piece of pan-fried cod on top of cumin, carrot and onion shreds. It is slightly charred and cooked to perfection. It is topped with Japanese teriyaki sauce and chicken sauce. There is a small purple onion on the left and a small white onion on the right, which makes the presentation quite beautiful and the taste is also pretty good. Smoked BBQ lamb shank: The plate has been pre-heated, the lamb shank is tender and tasty, paired with mushrooms, French fries, bacon and onion sauce, perfect. Dessert: I prefer the taste of Mascarpone cheese mousse. The dense mousse paired with candied orange and passion fruit jam makes me feel happy. The chocolate raspberry tart + ice cream ball is also very pleasing to the eye. The service was very good, with water added and the table cleaned at any time. The bathroom door is very cool and it is very clean inside. In short, the restaurant has a first-class environment, an unobstructed view of the Huangpu River, a retro and fashionable atmosphere, and an attractive terrace with a fireplace. It is a place suitable for couples to date and friends to have a casual and elegant meal. Personally, I feel that on a warm afternoon, it is a good choice to enjoy afternoon tea here while looking at the scenery, enjoying the breeze, and looking at the high-rise buildings of Lujiazui across the street.

The address of POP restaurant & bar is No. 3 The Bund, Zhongshan East 1st Road, but you have to enter from the Guangdong Road side door to go upstairs. There is an elevator directly to the seventh floor. There are several restaurants at No. 3 The Bund, and the POP terrace on the seventh floor occupies the best location. You can see the Customs Clock in the north, Lujiazui on the other side of the Huangpu River in the east, and you can also see the cruise ships on the Huangpu River. The restaurant is mainly American style. Although the dishes are not as exquisite as French, they are also delicious; there are a wide variety of wines and drinks, especially red wines, the brand is reliable, and the price is reasonable. It is highly recommended.

Weekend Brunch, appetizer + soup + main course + dessert + tea/coffee ☞ Grilled sea bass: Sea bass is the best choice. The fish meat in the middle of the fish body is marinated and grilled at low temperature to lock in nutrients and prevent the fish meat from loosening. Grill until the fish skin is crispy, so that it is tender inside and crispy outside; After the fish meat is served on a plate, marinate the vegetables with tomato sauce and eggplant sauce, and finally drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, and it is ready to serve! ! ! 【Taste】The fish meat is fresh and tender without fishy smell and rich in texture. It is full of taste when it is put into the mouth together with the vegetables.

The restaurant is decorated with collages of American pop art symbolic images. The open-air location of this afternoon tea restaurant overlooks the Bund and Lujiazui across the street, so it is best to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you can only sit quietly indoors and wait for a seat. To be honest, the afternoon tea looks very good, but the taste is really average. It is too sweet for a sweet tooth like me... Maybe the reason why this restaurant is on the Michelin recommendation is the main meal. The service is very good, and the Hong Kong guy is always responsive~ Unfortunately, we have already booked another restaurant for dinner. We can try it later if we have the chance.
