Just got back from Rizhao and haven't even finished packing yet, but I'm already writing my travel guide! My bestie and I spent a whole day at Wanpingkou. We thought we'd only have to spend the afternoon! Newbies should just follow the route, otherwise you might end up taking detours. 📸3 must-photograph landmarks! 1. Waking up to watch the sunrise is so worth it! When the sun rises, the sea looks like it's been dyed orange soda. Even photos of your wind-blown hair look beautiful. The wind was so strong, and you could see the entire curving coastline, so relaxing. 2. Wedding Industry Park (Gate 3) You have to wait in line for 10 minutes for the white swing, but it's totally worth it! I was on it just as the sun was filtering through the pine trees, and my skin looked incredibly bright in the photos—no retouching required at all. There's a marshmallow vendor selling candy in front of the Instagram-style bus. They're so sweet for 10 yuan each, I bought them as photo props. Going to the beach at Gates 3 and 4 Check the tide tables in advance, bring a small shovel that can dig up half a bucket of clams, and don't wear flip-flops! I almost slipped, but I ended up buying 25 yuan worth of Crocs to keep me safe. 🍹Must-try restaurant TEATAO'S: Choosing the right location is crucial! I first went to location #1. The train-shaped design is incredibly photogenic, but there are few window seats. Later, I went to the Songhai location and waited 15 minutes to get a window seat. Looking up at the pine forest and the ocean, I ordered the Oriental Beauty Cold Brew. It was refreshingly sweet, and the accompanying seaweed cookies were salty and fragrant. One bite and then a cup of tea was a perfect way to wash down the greasiness. Chocolate Fisherman (Wanpingkou Branch) The freshly steamed seafood hot pot is incredible! It's served piping hot, and the shrimp just pops out when you peel it. Dipping it in vinegar is incredibly delicious! The three of us ordered the medium pot with clams and scallops. We were so full we even wanted to soak up the broth in rice. Coffee and the Sea The terrace at sunset is a must! Sitting on the 360° terrace in the evening, the breeze was refreshing, and I ordered a sweet coconut milk special. Watching the sun turn the blue sea into orange, my partner said it was the most romantic moment of the trip. We posted photos on WeChat Moments, and friends kept asking where it was. #RizhaoSeaFishingExperience #RizhaoSeaCatching #WhereToEatSeafoodInRizhao #WhereToEatSeafoodInRizhao
