Wanpingkou, Rizhao: Know the 5 Gates Before You Go (with Guide) I've been to Rizhao many times, and I always visit Wanpingkou Scenic Area! But many people don't know how to get around Wanpingkou. Today, I'll explain each gate clearly. Just copy it! 🅿️Parking ✅ Parking is available at each gate, 2r per hour! Everyone said it was easy to find! ✅ Shared bikes and electric scooters can also be parked nearby. 🛀Public Facilities There's a footbath, toilets, and showers not far from the beach. Just come and wash your feet after playing on the beach! 1️⃣ Wanpingkou Gate 1 This is the main entrance to Wanpingkou Scenic Area, perfect for bringing children. There's a free children's playground with lots of kids playing! 2️⃣ Wanpingkou Gate 2 Coffee and the sea are right here! There's a large lounge area with a view of the ocean through the floor-to-ceiling walkway. The views are stunning. 3️⃣ Wanpingkou Gate 3 A photo-worthy paradise! There are many popular photo-taking spots, like the Sky Horizon, the swings, the beach bus, and more... just snap away and you'll be in the right place. 4️⃣ Wanpingkou Gate 4 The sea-viewing platform here has a truly expansive view, perfect for watching the sunrise! 🌅 The sun rises and the seascape sparkles. I recommend visiting around 5:00 PM. 5️⃣ Wanpingkou Gate 5 A paradise for beachgoers, close to Taigong Island Oyster Park. You'll never miss a single one from morning to night! Check it out! 📘Japanese and Korean Food 📍Hanok Korean Cuisine This place is right down the street near the library! Next door is Sheung Shui Coffee! The fish cake hot pot can get a bit greasy after a while! But the cheese omelet is delicious! The curry rice 🍛 is also great! 📍Han Jiudian BBQ Just search for Han Jiudian. There's an address called RT-Mart that you can navigate to. Turn in and you'll find a clear shed in the courtyard! 🥩The pork belly is excellent! The meat is tender and the marinade is delicious! The meat is good! The rest is up to you! The BBQ seasoning is perfect! 📍"Houshanju" Itamae Cuisine Make a reservation at Itamae! This is a very refined Japanese restaurant! The foie gras and eel are amazing! I ate there for two days straight before I recovered! I love it! It's a bit pricey, though! 📘 Main Meals 📍Chocolate Fisherman I love their sea sausage rice 🍚, it's absolutely amazing! And the steamed seafood 🦞 is so fresh! The Spanish mackerel dumplings 🥟 have thin skin and huge fillings! And best of all, the prices are affordable 😭😭 I'm totally going to give it a try! Their signature dishes are the old stove steamed seafood pot and steamed turbot! 📍Kuan Pozi - Seafood Pot Stickers It was so crowded when I went! You absolutely have to order the seafood pot stickers! There are so many flavors, they're generously filled, and they're incredibly chewy! They're incredibly fragrant! Their signature dishes are the prawn pot stickers, sea urchin pot stickers, cuttlefish pot stickers, and Spanish mackerel pot stickers 🥟 📘Coffee 📍Coffee and the Sea It's very close to the ocean! I highly recommend coming after 4 PM! The sun set around 6 or 7 pm. 🌅 I ordered an aquamarine butter latte and a pineapple iced Americano! It was paired with a aquamarine cheesecake 🍰, which was delicious! Plus, it's all glass! It's so airy 🥰 📍Ci Bing Zhi Guo Drinks and desserts are made to order, and every seating area is super Instagrammable, making for stunning photos. I didn't expect to eat such a beautiful Emoji mousse cake in Rizhao 🍪—it's so cute! The milk is so delicious! 📍Stars The warm-toned wooden tables and chairs, the hanging plants 🍃, and the dappled light and shadow wall—every detail is photogenic. The lighting is amazing! I ordered a midsummer and strawberry matcha milk! And a grapefruit sparkling water! The midsummer was very photogenic, but the flavor is a bit complex! This is enough for a trip to Rizhao! 1️⃣ Lan Guiyuan (Parking at the Poly branch is free and spacious. Eat there at least twice a month. Anyone else tried their cheese sticks?) 2️⃣ Josei Tavern (A light drink, perfect for any date. Great for photos and delicious side dishes. Nice!) 3️⃣ Chuguang Wharf (Vanxianghui Peppercorn Shrimp Hot Pot. Eat the shrimp first, then the vegetables. Super flavorful!) 4️⃣ Coffee and Sea (Afternoon tea recommended. Order a cup of coffee and sit for the whole afternoon. Remember to dress nicely. You'll be in the photo!) 5️⃣ Chocolate Fisherman (The ingredients are so fresh! I love the seafood steamer; everything can be steamed!) 6️⃣ Sanliang Pig Intestine Restaurant (A popular hotpot spot. Spicy food is a must-try. Lots of variety!) New Black Duck Hot Pot (available now) 7️⃣ Long Table Banquet (39.9 seafood buffet – yes, you heard right, all you can eat! Swimming crabs, prawns, and other seafood. Toasts and performances – fantastic!) 8️⃣ Couples BBQ (Year-old place, cool outside. I love the tofu sausage everywhere I go – it's incredibly delicious) 9️⃣ Xiaoyu Steamed Seafood Restaurant (Open counter, freshly caught and killed. Fresh food, transparent prices, and peace of mind) 🔟 Beimen Malatang (The chicken rack noodles are delicious, the beef tendon noodles are chewy, and the fried skewers are sweet) 1️⃣ 1️⃣ University Town Night Market (Needless to say, just go for a stroll when you have nothing to do. The grilled cold noodles, grilled vermicelli noodles, and Northeastern Malatang are undeniably delicious)

I took my parents to the beach for the weekend. Rizhao in the off-season is absolutely stunning. Stop 1: Wanpingkou. Parking 🚗 was incredibly convenient. We checked in near Gate 3. It was incredibly quiet, with no one else on the beach. Stop 2: Coffee and Sea. This internet-famous restaurant has a perfect location, and the photos 📸 are amazing. Even in the off-season, there were very few people, so there was no need to queue for a table. Stop 3: National Forest Park. Too lazy to walk, we just lay on the beach nearby. It was truly deserted. It had the finest sand I've ever seen. It was so peaceful. Stop 4: Lighthouse. We had dinner nearby and then took a photo at the lighthouse. It's said to be the best place to watch the sunrise 🌅. I'll definitely come back next time. Stop 5: Olympic Sailing Plaza. I had a cup of coffee. 🔚 Then we headed home! I'll definitely come back in the off-season. It was perfect.
