昭通小马串串香(巧家店)

Departed from Chengdu - Luzhou (stayed one night) - Yibin - Zhaotong - Luzhou - Zhaotong. Departed at 10:00 AM and arrived in Zhaotong at 5:00 PM. Restaurant and lunch at the Yibin Gaoxian Service Station (we didn't make it all the way to Zhaotong because we were traveling with our 18-month-old pup). For dinner, we had Zhaotong's special halal kebabs. A local restaurant called Mashi BBQ, which has been featured on a TV show, didn't go there specifically because we were with the kids. We ate at Sanguan BBQ near the hotel (next to the ancient city). It was also very popular. The restaurant only had kebabs and hot and sour noodles. They were very good. Delicious! When it comes to skewers, be sure to choose the half-clean, half-strong variety! Not greasy at all! Just pure meaty flavor! It's bursting with oil! Paired with the special chili spices! Perfect! A bowl of hot and sour noodles is also a must! It's unlike the sour Sichuan style! The roasted potatoes in the picture were bought from a stall near the store. They were quite fragrant, though the inside wasn't very soft. They're 2 yuan each. For breakfast in Zhaotong, I recommend the nameless oil cakes. Too bad I didn't make it to Chengrong. Zhaotong's specialty apples aren't as delicious as the ugly apples from Liangshan. Updates are being made continuously.
